I think what’s making me see “depressed” is the way the “hood” leading edge hangs down over the lights, reminding me a little bit of someone like Droopy Dog.
These lights and this face (and yes, the headlights ARE supposed to be the eyes, dammit!) make it look sad. Like it’s embarrassed over all the TDI hoopla, and apologetic. It’s a VW Bus. Make it happy! Or at least stoned and chill.
