I used to get hives from too much acidic food, tomatoes, oranges, lemons, etc. Itchy hives like blisters, mostly on my hands. I think I outgrew it. I know it ran in my family. I didn’t have to eat that much to get a reaction, tho. It was miserable!

I find that fridged tomatoes, especially store bought (because they’re picked green and refrigerated anyway) don’t alter flavor or texture all that much as long as the tomato was already destined to be crap, anyway.

No need, it has an aftermarket electric fan with no shroud, and no auxilliary A/C fan due to a major front end collision it was involved in before I got the car. If I want extra cooling capacity I can just add a shroud and aux fan. No big deal.
