Yep - this is extremely my shit. The slowly growing unease and well… fear… is more compelling to me than watching Rick and Korrrrrrrlllll find their way to another seemingly safe, but totally corrupt and dangerous community.

On 9/11 and afterwards, people thousands of miles away from NYC were more panicked about what was happening in NYC than New Yorkers.

Exactly. The implied pace of the show is so disconnected from the official, compressed timeline that it seems to take something away from the character development we saw.

Somehow this is less disconcerting than the idea that nearly all of Breaking Bad takes place over the course of one, single year.

I can't remember which ep it was, but the scene where he was drunker than usual and chewing scenery at his desk while giving a monologue near the end of the episode was just amazing. He hit Peak Chessani and I've loved his character ever since.

I saw it at the Cinearama Dome in Hollywood and will never, ever speak ill of it again.

A decent third act.
