Eh, I still think it’s a facile argument. People might insist on watching movies on Netflix on their laptops, and thus ruining movies which rely on (or at least heavily benefit from) spectacle, but that some people might ruin such movies for themselves isn’t inandof itself an argument against direct-to-home releases.

I can agree with that, he directs the crap out of the movies I’ve seen of his, they just seem flashier than whats actually there, the real problem I have is the people who argue that he’s making these deep artistic films when he’s really just making competent blockbusters

I disagree. He tries to make grand films that require grand viewing experiences. His movies are meant to be seen in theaters, he’s been filming in IMAX and streaming his movies (particularly Interstellar and Dunkirk) on a TV isn’t the same. I think he’s just a purist and passionate about how movies should be viewed

I mean, he heavily prizes the theatrical experience and his movies are set up to take advantage of that. I can sympathize.

Aww, whatzamatter widdle fella? Did they ban you over at the Avocado?

Seems like there were good points on both sides

You know, it’s hilarious that your name is what it is and that basically your every comment is insulting someone’s intellect and/or character or whatever else.

Oddly enough, the “lesser Wahlberg” actually applies to all Wahlbergs.

Hey those of us on the genx cusp still recognize it

This feels real enough, right down to the call for juntas.

That’s nothing - wait for 2019, when Fox refuses to cover the actual impeachment.

Steyer’s Lawyer Writes:

We spread the petty shit around, but we don’t make it up. The point is, there’s plenty of petty shit already—look no further than these very pages!—so why invent more? It just undermines the snotty superiority we media types are trying so hard to convey!

Alia Shawkat was perfect as Maebe, in every way

Yeah, I have to say, that monologue was terrible. Not a single joke, hell not even a moving picture, just the text “The uploader has not made this video available in your country.” I mean, can we even call that a monologue, then? Larry David definitely dropped the ball here.

Wow, so his last name really is Newby. Little on-the-nose, dontcha think, Stranger Things?

Lexter

I’m 33% confidant he used that line.

To be fair, Tony Montana did say this town is like a great big pussy...
