Plus, any number of professional careers (law, medicine, banking) will be heavy with Latin terminology, not Spanish. Not to mention the English vocabulary that derives from Latin. Latin is also a great language for learning grammar, although pretty much ANY language is, compared to English. (Not that it matters much
