nope, it happens every day. usually i just give them a blank stare until they realize just how asinine of an answer they just gave me. we have 24 on tap, and over 75 different types in bottles. i got less than a 1/100 chance of guessing correctly.

not at all. in fact the people who have free refills/waters make my job way easier, especially if you’re with a group that’s drinking. i try to be as friendly as possible to these people so if their friends start acting up i can immediately look to you to help out.
tip-outs go a long way...as a bartender i used to tip out my cooks, runners, bouncers, and whoever else made my job easier. it’s amazing how many “extras” i would get with my shift meals, how many times a bouncer would send their friends to me and tell them to tip well, and how fast my stations beer/liquor would get…
