“Race track like roads?” Off-road racing is a thing, right? Most are pretty bad but Kilpatrick Turnpike is actually suprisingly nice for OK. Well, except for elevated north/south stretches on the west side of the city. Most of that is like a a roller coaster - kind of a misery bouncing around when driving a vehicle

I replaced the left side power door lock, tested it a couple times and buttoned everything back up. Fast, easy, DONE! Nope. Now the power window wouldn’t work. I took the door panel apart again and went on a troubleshooting snipe hunt for the next 2 hours. Finally, I remembered this vehicle has a feature I’d never had

I enjoyed a co-worker’s story: He was driving one of the company vans on the highway (75 MPH limit) and was coming up on a LeSabre driven in the left lane by a little old lady with matching passenger. He was going 70 MPH and they were about 65 MPH. He figured “screw it” and stayed in the right lane to pass on the

Well, good for them. I’m one of the weirdos who immediately liked the front end of the current Cherokee (hey, why not, I’m also a VehiCROSS owner.) So much energy went to making the front unique but the side and rear the views were so plain they were completely indistinguishable from *all* other SUVs. Not even vanilla

Grannyshifter, I love that question! It says so much with so few words.

I have a 2001 Ironman edition VehiCROSS. It’s pretty freakin’ amazing just due to its never-eding reminder of my personal heath & fitness. I’m an out-of-shape guy with a doughy middle and there is a yellow light on the dashboard that constantly tells me that I need to exercise more with focus on developing my “ABS.”

Some of the folks I’ve met have added 1/4 to 1/2 quart of oil per tank of gas since they bought it new. Some believe this *may* have been fixed for the 2001 models. At 143k miles, mine still doesn’t have that problem. BUT, I have read of a few people who never had the issue and then, out of the blue - no oil/dead

If you’re a good jalop-mechanic, #1 I envy you because my skills suck, #2 it’s very possible to swap over the required parts from a manual Trooper(?) Rodeo(?) I forget what I read.

Oh, I agree... I was just kinda joking around since so many people have assumed I get great MPG since it’s so small! Hey, if you’re really interested in VehiCROSS shopping (or ANY other vehicle), a great starting place is autotempest.com. Links at the bottom of a search allows you to branch out to NATIONWIDE

“Economic” made me say, “Well.....” :) AWD, body on frame makes it tap 4000 lbs so it’s surprisingly(?) heavy to many. I get 15-17 MPG city / 17-21 highway. But I love it so I don’t care.
