I always fly them to Dallas from LAX, mostly because two free checked bags means I can take lots of presents to my BFF and her kids.

I know my grandpa spanked my grandma for punishments, because she told my aunts years after it happened. Ugh. It made it really hard to be around him once I heard about it.

Turning 28 was pretty much a catalyst for everything I did this year. 90% the reason I applied to grad school, 100% the reason I joined eHarmony (UGH), 50% the reason I had weight loss surgery. I’m like, OMG IF I DON’T DO IT NOW I NEVER WILL.

There’s like a 5" waist difference between size 16 and size 16W. It’s fucking annoying.

Oh man. That’s rough for your family, but good that things are better.

I only attack people if they won’t give me cookies, now. ;)

Considering that I was a monster to my little sister from like, ages 2-6 (I’d hit her, or bite her), and I quite often had daydreams about killing people as a pre-teen, I’d say this really doesn’t indicate a tendency towards becoming a sociopath. Empathy is actually one of my strongest personality traits as an adult.

Me too!

Exactly! I think all of Sittenfield’s books are like that. Really looking forward to her new release next month. I’m saving that for my Vegas vacation this summer!

I love that book.

Me too! I also loved Nick & Nora’s Infinite Playlist. That was adorable. I definitely want to catch this movie!

Done!

Oh, gosh, the Ann Rinaldi ones are SO GOOD. I loved them as a kid.

I Uber on the side. The pay is really awful. If you take someone less than a couple miles, you only get $2.60 after Uber’s cut, no matter how long you drive to pick them up. It’s been super slow in LA lately, so I’ve been getting maybe $12/hour. In the summer, you make more like $18/hour.

OMG.... Wouldn’t that be awesome if it was on the next season of Arrested Development?!?!

And apparently with all the bias.

I am so checking that out. :)

Honestly, there’s such a huge glut of desperate Uber drivers right now, your chances of NOT getting a ride are slim.

More to avoid getting a poor rating. I know a lot of drivers off reddit and uberpeople give 1 stars for short rides. I don’t, but you never know what your driver will do. Honestly, you’re probably not going to get kicked off of the Uber platform with a low rating. Uber will do anything to keep it’s customers.

Uber does not tell you the destination until you start the trip. Lyft will tell you the destination once you arrive at the pick-up spot. I usually ask where we’re going, because Google Maps takes a good minute or so to load the GPS. That way I don’t sit there for a minute, wasting your time.
