I’m getting vertical sleeve. I’m not terribly obese, and I have no health problems other than swollen feet, so my doctor/nutritionist/surgeon/I thought it was the better choice. My date is 10/19.

Apparently super low calorie “ice cream” is a thing now. I’ve seen a few brands at my grocery store with like, 150-250 calories a PINT. It’s ok if you eat it with your eyes closed.

I second the hummus and pita. You could also try those calorie free flavored sparkling waters from TJ’s. They aren’t sweet at all. What about apples and peanut butter, or celery and peanut butter? If you have a Winco near you, you can grind the nuts at the store, and mix almonds/peanuts/sunflower seeds/whatever into…

I hate my hair color. This summer I tried blonde and hated it, red and hated it, and now I’m counting the days until I can go back to black. I hate my weight, too, but I’m having surgery for that in 21 days, and by this time next year I will be so much thinner!!!!

Me too. I don’t really shop super high-end for makeup... mostly drugstore with some Urban Decay and Benefit thrown in, so it’s perfect for me.

I have a modest 403(b) and a sizable pension fund from 3.5 years of working for the government. I’m quitting my job in August to go to grad school, and I am SO GLAD will have this money saved. I don’t plan on using it, but it’s nice to know I’ll have a nice sized emergency fund.

I only offer to split the check 50/50 when my order costs less than everyone else. If I ordered way more than others, I’m always going to pay at least my share, unless they tell me not to be silly and just split it. It usually evens out in the end.
