Wait WHAT??? He did it while ON THE FUCKING DATE????
Wait WHAT??? He did it while ON THE FUCKING DATE????
I DID read the book, and Fink fully explained that the hospital was renamed Memorial, but everyone still called it Baptist. I don’t really understand why locals would do this, because obviously it screwed things up royally, and it’s not really any of the emergency rescue personnel’s fault.
Um, YES. Alleged non-consensual euthanasia (so... alleged murder...) is one of the MANY horrors that happened during Katrina. It would be pretty darn ridiculous to write a book about every single horrible thing that happened during Katrina.
OMG are you me? Cuz a guy that looks like this did that to me too... only it was 8 AM on a Sunday morning. We were supposed to go the fair that afternoon, and it was his turn to buy me dinner. Bastard.
Fink exposed a horror that probably (pretty damn sure) happened. That’s what journalists do. They find out what happened and they write about it.
I didn’t fly for the first time until 2004, well into the current “cram ‘em in like sardines” era. I’ve always dressed up to fly, though... usually a nice knit dress, nylons, and flats. I’ve always gotten better service when dressed nicely. Most times I get rerouted to the TSA line where you don’t have to take off…
I would monitor my kid’s internet usage, just to make sure they weren’t going to prostitute themselves or meet up with creepy old men. I have friends that did this in high school, and I keep thinking, “What the fuck were their parents doing??” Mine, on the other hand, wouldn’t let me use the computer unless they were…
I have a female PCP, but my female OBGYN retired, so I have a male OBGYN now. Kaiser asked me at least six times, “You know it’s a man, right? Are you ok with that?” Which is great, I appreciate the concern, but I’m pretty sure if I wasn’t ok with a male doctor, I would not have picked one name Daniel...
I know, right?? The implant is the best thing ever. I’ve had an IUD, and I would never switch back.
I have Kaiser too, and I went in to the OBGYN to get birth control, and they inserted my Nexplanon that very day after taking a pregnancy test. When I went to Planned Parenthood for an IUD a long time ago, it was inserted same day, too. It’s not that difficult to provide birth control!
I’m hopeful Los Angeles will get it in, oh, 2019. It takes about 3-4 years to get a tour here. Although we are getting If/Then in January, I believe, but that might be because it just closed on Broadway? I don’t think we would have gotten it that quickly if it was still playing.
My uncle/aunt are heavily into ATI, and this is an actual belief. They think that any sin the parents had at the time of conception will follow the children. The kids are basically doomed to live their parents mistakes. It’s pretty fucked up.

I signed up for a 3 month trial of Apple Music. I like that I can listen to Taylor Swift now, but I very much dislike how it automatically starts playing when I plug my phone into my car. When I play Spotify or a podcast or an NPR radio app, Apple music will sometimes cut my currently playing item off with it’s own…
This is why unions are a GOOD thing....
I’m a Teamster (clerical work), and my dues are 0.8% of my gross after retirement is taken out.
So I just tried Urban Decay’s new Bad Blood yesterday, and OMG, it has incredible staying power... even better than MAC Russian Red. It’s a little darker, I think, but still a blue base. But it’s $22, and MAC is what, $15, now?? Definitely try it!!
Russian Red is my favorite lipstick, hands down.
The “typical use” failure rate for the depo shot is lower than the pill, but the “perfect use” failure rate is about the same.
I’m pro-choice as fuck, but I wouldn’t have an abortion if I got accidentally pregnant.
