I think I would rather have a gender reveal party than a baby shower. It seems more fun. Showers (bridal and baby) are the worst.

I’ve been sewing for 18 years, and I’m pretty familiar with sewing cocktail dresses and ball gowns. I highly recommend getting your fabric from the LA or NY fabric districts, if you live near them!!

Stop Staring and Pinup Girl Clothing (and I THINK Tatyana) are made in the USA with imported cloth. If you are interested in sewing your own clothing using American made cotton fabric, here is a website that can help you find it.

One of the problems is that it’s really difficult to organize unions in poorer countries. Companies like Walmart etc will pull out of the country if the workers unionize, so the government has an interest in breaking up would-be unions. That is so freaking awesome.

Shift dresses are VERY easy to do. You’ll need to practice how to make a dart, and you’ll need to know how to put a zipper in (unless you make it pretty loose). There are tutorials out there for learning how to do all that. This pattern is easy and similar to the Lilly P dresses.

You can buy it from the regular line for $178, which is really not bad. Although, I know how to sew, and I would never spend this much on a dress I could so easily make.

Yup! They carried corsets up to a 42 or 44, so I knew I could always find something sexy at the last minute.
