Right?? It was the worst! But I understand now why my parents did it. They were told, "You have to spank the sin out of them." Thanks Dobson...

Regarding the structure — SO TRUE. I was homeschooled, but my mother scheduled the week days in half hour increments. We did a lot of physical activities together, including riding bikes down the riverbed for an hour every single morning, no matter how cold it was. Certain days were for homeschool group things,

I'm 27 with a 25 year old sister and a 9 year old sister. My 25 year old sister and I were raised with LOTS of spankings. As a strong-willed child, I got spanked at least once a week for misbehavior, but my younger sister was so compliant/submissive, she only got 1 spanking in her life.

My baby sister, on the other

I got the Caramel deLites this year, and they were AMAZING.

My best friend started waist training at 13, and she still has an abnormally tiny waist! She was watching a documentary about Renaissance fashion, and just decided she wanted to do it. I think the younger you are, the better. And FWIW, I wouldn't have a problem with my daughters wanting to do waist training. I

You have to lace corsets really tightly to get an accurate historical costume. Women did lace down to really tiny waists, historically. Wearing a corset for a few days and eating soup during shooting is not going to kill anyone.

That's me next month!!

Exactly! I don't think people really understand how corseting works.

You picked a good one. :)

Oh GOD, I hope Liberty doesn't get it!!!

I didn't realize women's colleges existed until I was almost done with my undergrad. I really wish I would have gone to one! But I was homeschooled, so my exposure to available colleges was like, Bob Jones etc.

Oh I know, right?? Whenever I see comments on here that sound remotely like a situation I was in, I'm like, "OMG IS THAT ME???"

So funny!

Hi Monica...

This happened to me, but I was the bride. I sent STD's to my second cousin and her husband, but apparently the invitation got lost in the mail. She was so mad at me, and I was like, "I really did invite you!"

So a few years back, I was planning a bridal shower for a wedding in which I was the MOH. The bridesmaid that designed the invitations did such a terrible job, I redid them and sent the nice, elegant ones to everyone except that bridesmaid and her mother. No regrets.

I would tell her to take Benadryl before the wedding.

The vendor should have told the bride, "Hey, we ran out of the doilies you liked. Here are some other options, so pick one, and I'll cut 20% off the cost of doing the remaining ones." That's how you fix a screw up as a vendor.

Christians definitely wore head coverings for centuries. Many Orthodox Christian women still wear head scarves to church. I've worn them to Mass on high holidays.

Too funny!!
