I think the reference to the crash happening in 2017 is an error. Other articles I’ve seen about this are from the March/April 2021 time frame and they reference it happening in the weeks prior to that. Apparently the dad bought the car for his son as a birthday gift in 2020, so that picture above is probably the car

I don’t understand the timeline. How could the crash been in 2017 when the Urus wasn’t even announced until December 2017 and released in 2018. Did this guy get literally the first Urus somehow just after the announcement?

I live in the heart of the city so not many bro-dozers and Chargers just sort of disappear into the regular traffic. I used to joke that if/when I get hit (as a pedestrian) I’ll make sure it’s a Lambo or Ferrari or McLaren since the hood is low for a lay-down and they’re probably well insured. Then along came these

Yah. If you take away the “rah, rah, hate the rich” thing, a sentence of 4 years in jail is the STIFFEST penalty for involuntary manslaughter in Cali. And probation for a first offense is a standard penalty.

The punishment is too light, but this is probably not too far from the mark. We do make a distinction for juveniles and there has to be a line at some point between the two, even if everyone here thinks 17 is too old, and it’s definitely manslaughter, and not “what basically amounts to murder, as the author put it.

“Honda is leaving, so Honda should take over.”

This would be a good spot to point out that the other, lesser-known, half of Ducati’s business is in electrical and electronic devices and components under Ducati Energia (formerly Ducati Elettrotecnica). And let’s not forget Ducati’s parent company produces electric cars. So they’re not exactly jumping off on the

There’s not going to be an F1 race in China next year.

Not entirely a deep end jump. Ducati Elettrotecnica which rivaled Joe Lucas and Bob Bosch became Ducati Energia. They are quite diversified:

It’s hard to answer the “off-road range” question, just as it’s hard to answer “towing range.”

It all depends on the terrain/load. It’s all a big energy balance equation — drag, rolling resistance, elevation gain, etc etc.

I can tell you that our trucks started with about 200 miles of range, we off-roaded it for three

True about “reading”, but Mercedes Streeter is occasionally worth slide-showing. I hate it that she gets me to follow the clickbait, but sometimes I’m powerless.

Edit - Holy crap that’s huge!

Sometimes I think about giving up on this site, then Torch posts a taillight article and all is good again. This is the hard hitting journalism other websites are too scared to post 😄

Bring back the M12. Grenade with the pin already pulled. Simpler and cheaper than the current power units. You get two per weekend. Unlimited boost.

A “car size similar to the 80s and 90s just not as wide” is literally smaller than a current Mygale F4 car (Ferrari 412T1 was 4380 mm long, a Mygale F4 car is 4467 mm long). There's no chance of that happening unless there's a radical reduction in safety.

I (selflessly) volunteer to drive these horrible cars. What’s more, I will do so for $10,000 euro less than whatever Lando Norris charges and won’t complain even a little about how crappy the car is. I do require automatic climate control, Apple Car Play and 2 cupholders, but otherwise it’s all good.

Nothing against Norris, he’s one of my favorites, but I’d be more interested to hear from someone like Raikkonen, Alonso, Vettel, or Hamilton; guys that drove through the massive change to the turbo-hybrid era and (Hamilton excepting) have driven numerous different cars for several different teams.

The cars have grown significantly within the turbo-hybrid era.

Would look dope on air ride with some Rotiforms and bolt-on flares.
