I’m kinda interested to see how they handle adding new characters going forward. Just arbitrarily focusing on A-Wing pilots (since they’re my favourite), there are already so many they could add at this stage: there’s Hera, Sabine, and “Phoenix Squadron Pilot” from Rebels; there’s Shara Bey and L’ulo from the comics;

This is a real shame for me, because I’ve had my fingers firmly crossed that we’ll get a YT-2000 one of these days. X-Wing Alliance was the game that got me hooked, and I love the Otana design to pieces.

Are people still using random crafting materials to build replica X-Wings in their houses, and things like that? One of my favourite pasttimes used to be exploring around player towns just to see what crazy stuff people had managed to achieve.

Every time I play a new MMO, Star Wars Galaxies is the benchmark. Sure, some of the actual game mechanics weren’t great... but the whole package was so great, and nothing I have played since has come close.

I think you’re trying far too hard to force a distinction between memorization and memorable, and you’re ignoring a lot of the reality in order to do that.

I wonder if the issue here is that we’re the kind of people who listen to movie soundtracks, and the article author / video creator / etc aren’t so much?

I find this weird, because I find the MCU music (for movies that I’ve seen more than once) pretty solidly memorable. I hum the fanfare from The First Avenger pretty frequently, the Avengers theme is pretty catchy, and Thor has some pretty great / uplifting music too (beating the Destroyer, the recurring theme in The

More like the kind of lore that an entirely separate third party writes for the sake of obsessive and overly nitpicky fans to help smooth over the entirely understandable tiny errors and hiccups that crop up in any kind of large-scale movie production... but sure.

Technically, the lore does (or did) say that R4-P17 is a special type of R4 unit, that has a dome head because it’s more aerodynamic / less easy to shoot off / etc.

The version I heard is that those four digits are part of a much longer alphanumeric serial number, and they just sorta... choose a bit of it, the same way that you might choose a few syllables of a person’s name to come up with a shorter nickname.

Here’s hoping that Clinton makes the strategic play of asking Bernie to be her running mate.

Bernie reminds me of the Liberal Democrat party here in the UK: they have the right ideas, but don’t quite have enough backing alone to get into power. Sure, the recent coalition government (where the Conservatives had to ask

This seems to be a really common thing with mobile games lately. There are some interesting/innovative ones, but the majority seem to be the same four or five games with different genre-specific packaging.

Normally I’d just assume it was a “mobile devices can’t support complicated games” thing... but Google Play keeps

I’m not sure it’s strangely popular. These games seem to be designed for people who have long, dull, monotonous work days, and are looking for something that they can spend a couple of minutes on every time they go to the bathroom / have a break / can think of an excuse to pick up their phone. They’re meant as a

I don’t know that this is necessarily just a black/slavery thing. Absolutely, it is a factor, but it’s also worth bearing in mind that the movie industry - and especially the Academy Awards - has a bit of a fetish for any sort of movie that is about human suffering, regardless of the ethnicity of the person doing the

I guess the counter-question would be... why not?

I find it interesting that Caliente feels that female characters in Skyrim get the short end of the stick - my bestie and I usually find the opposite problem. She tends not to have too much problem creating a character that she’s happy with, whereas I keep tripping over the “but I don’t want to be a beefcake with

The leader of the Railroad is voiced by Commander Ivanova from Babylon 5. That is my single reason for backing them.

Wait, wait, wait.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the R7 (if we get it) comes nestled inside an E-Wing the way it does in the Expanded Universe. Obviously the movies are under no obligation whatsoever to include that, but there’s just something about the new T-70 X-Wings that just feels a little bit like the E-Wing - the more

Even if Han did shoot first, shooting first isn’t murder. It’s the exact same situation as any police procedural where they shoot the guy with the gun a split second before he has the opportunity to use it. Add in the pseudo western vibe that Star Wars has... at worst, it makes Han Solo seem like an outlaw, which
