Nuance and comprehension are lost arts in 2020.
Nuance and comprehension are lost arts in 2020.
Yeah, it looks all funny with the equations and such, but it’s not really that complicated if you actually read it. While I don’t dispute your general premise, I don’t see anything in this example that is egregious - for safety’s sake no one wants a racing series that says “F*** it, just load that 20 gallons of fuel wi…
Did you ever own a company, and then found out if you gave a team some money to put a little sticker on a racecar, get a tax write off, and get buttloads of tickets to the race to give to your current and prospective clients to impress them and make them likely to do business with you and open large accounts and…
I agree with that take - 718 Boxster is just too expensive with a 4-cylinder. Porsches all around are too expensive for what they are, except for the GT3/2 at MSRP, and this is coming from a guy that bought a new 991.2 Carrera. Even the GTS 4.0/Spyder/GT4 suffers from the long gearing which ruins the street driving…
> I drove the Cayman extensively on track at the Porsche Driving School. Loved the car. But the HUGE sticking point is paying $95K for that engine.
This. $95K is what my custom-ordered 981 Spyder cost me new, and we knew turbo-4s were coming back then. I also got everything I wanted in it.
Congrats to Porsche for finding a record that nobody bothered to break, I guess? Good marketing. Nothing against Chloe, but if a completely stock 718 Spyder is setting the world record for fastest ever slalom in a car...nobody else has been seriously trying.
Somebody go grab an Ariel Atom on slicks and crush this…
So you’re saying the animations are just like 1 and 2 with a new coat of paint? I think that’s the point. Re-doing animations messes up the timing of tricks. There’s a reason why they kept it that janky.
Unfortunately, gasoline taxes can be pretty regressive in some places...

Back and hip problems are common in larger dogs. A key thing is to keep her as thin as possible and keep her moving. Our big golden mix started having all sorts of back and hip problems around 9. We put him on a serious diet and he lost something like 15-20 lbs (he was not fat, just on the heavier side of normal…
Thanks. Happy to be back. Should be an epic race this year.
We had a 125 lb Golden mix for 13 years. Everyone would say “HE’S HUGE!” and we always thought “Really, I never noticed”. He was a perfect dog.. until he met a dog bigger than him and he was pretty salty about that. He wasn’t sure what that thing was, but it needed to go down.
But increasing rear roll stiffness increases oversteer.
They need to be provided a hoe and forced onto the fire line to fight the fire gratis. No other protection, just a hoe.
Stay safe.
Hey Alcoholic-you race much? Didn’t think so. Wanna see the x-ray of my thumb that got caught in a fastly spinning wheel spoke? Take “your dainty ass wrist” off the keyboard and go out and do some racing in an open wheel car! Bang wheel! Hold the wheel tight LIKE A MAN. Show us how its done keyboard hero!
Taking your hands off the wheel before impact has been a thing well before Danica started racing. It’s been done for decades in rallying.
I was thinking of the T50 too. Mercedes AMG talks about the challenges and the difficulties of it all despite having immense resources.
Gordon Murray: Oh for fucks sake. HERE OKAY.
OK, Cup race is over. I never again want to hear how NASCAR drivers suck at going both left and right. The Cup guys had never raced stock cars on the Daytona Road Course. They had no practice. They had no experience with this particular layout of Daytona.
You’ve not complained about anything trivial in the last 6 months? At all? Even realizing there are other issues?
