For all of us track people, gotta remember to turn this all off. My dad has fall detection turned on and during track days would constantly be notifying us something happened. Coincidentally it also worked when he crashed, so the feature worked, just a little too well.

You beat me to it. This article completely fails to address how much of the problem this would solve.

Oh cool it looks like I’m getting my Lightning in 2024. Hopefully by then it the ADM wars have actually reversed and there is excess.

Stealing my secrets!

Its faster than the old GT3. The new GT3 has wild aero and suspension lifted off the 991 GT3-R, power isn’t where the speed is.

Calling it now, 500 HP, 9000 RPM redline.

550 HP is no longer a cup car. I’m not sure what NASCAR is going for here, but maybe they should just grab Trans Am TA1 class cars and give them to the field.

Since this is experimental, what really do you need for ratings to get this on your license?

What is this a trainer for exactly? Something that is known as one of the most difficult planes to fly in history doesn’t prepare you for anything above it. Its more just a recreational piece.

+1 for Fantomworks. It was great when they would drop on people what it would actually cost “$100K minimum.” Cue surprised Pikachu face out of the customer. I was amazed many of them paid it though.

To put that in one line, if you show up looking like you’re trying to win, you’re getting penalty laps. $500 is a way to put a number to that.

Oh cool so you’re the guy who doesn’t know the limits of their car at a track day, crashes, then tanks the session and the next sessions for everyone. You did do “did freakin’ great,” “good to go!“pretty awesome, man,” and, of course, “outstanding.”

He was winning his track day! What a cool guy. I love when I win my track day. You should see all of the prize money and women that throw themselves at me.

High for sure

1700 lbs seems insane to me. That is all.

A lot of it has to due with the ban of re-fueling. The cars got significantly bigger during that time period.

Priced directly in line with the 718 GTS 4.0. That makes it a tough call for buyers

FWIW I thought in real life it was pretty goofy looking. The Polestar however, looked really good

Jesus christ that is what you got from the comment? Sorry, I’ll amend it to “Covid is under control enough due to overall community acceptance of preventative behavior and my personal risk tolerance and for me to venture to the mall”

I just went to the local mall for the first time since COVID ended. It was really weird how there is now a luxury EV section. Both Lucid and Polestar had actual storefronts
