I stopped reading Giz for the longest time and now I come back to this drivel and Alissa Walker’s privileged war against cars. Good times.

Oh god, I literally cannot look at this. Those welds alone make my heart race. I’ve watched a rally team climb out of a completely compromised cage after hitting a tree at full attack with their roof first and walk it off. That was a FIA spec chromoly tube frame originally made for a factory team. You sure as shit

Accelerated Darwinism! And I’ve seen some pretty big boys get into stock car seats but I’m not sure how a 6 pt. would do with the load of Golden Coral platinum card holders.

If I’m not mistaken, seatbelts have a much lower modulus than race/harness belts and stretch a good deal under load. So even if you’re wearing the seatbelt, in the event of a collision your head is still bound to hit the wheel without an airbag in the way. I’d still want them there! I could get behind cars coming

Seriously, anyone who thinks for a second that this thing is going to happen has never worked with this breed of Chinese investor. I can’t fathom how they afford the failures but boy do they.

Found the butthurt Brazilian.

I spent a solid 5 minutes trying to remember if it was the A or T when I wrote that, honestly I’m thinking now that it was the A.

Pow, right in the feels Torch. My earliest gearhead memory is standing on the floor of my grandfather’s Model T(this is in 1996 on back roads mind you), helping him row through the gears. I’m way too excited to watch you raise your son vicariously through the lens of press cars.

As long as there are proper provisions to allow us enthusiasts to keep manually piloting our cars well into the apocalypse, I welcome the day that your average low-skill driver is replaced by a much smarter machine.

While I’ve enjoyed watching a fair share of unoccupied parking lot shenanigans, Aye anyone who brings a wheelie onto an occupied road can have their license yanked as well.

Good on you, I was forced to do the same a few weeks back after this lady seemed to be having a stroke or something while repeatedly drifting into the other lane doing 20 under. I work with the officer’s sister and apparently the lady was fine medically, just received a ticket for failure to keep right. Fuckin’ nuts

Ladies and gentlemen, the current state of the American driver. I for one welcome our autonomous overlords.

I’m taking a big trip across the country to see the Daytona 24 this year, glad to see the racing will likely be very good! No one in my life seems to understand how exciting seeing the return of the Ford GT to endurance racing is.

Any “solution” to the future energy crisis that doesn’t integrate heavy usage of nuclear power is an absolute joke. Solar and wind are not viable ways to power nations.

Am I the only one slightly confused about how two ship to small boat transfers works out to be safer for a sick sailor than one slightly hairy hoist? I get that there was probably some rigging in the way but we’ve all seen the coast guard pull some crazy stunts before.

You have an extremely optimistic view of engineering.

I want to pick up a cheap tow beater to haul around my future shitbox rally car in the Northeast. Is there anything wrong with my plan to get an old E-2/350/Chevy whatever for ‘dat lockable tool and part storage?

Aww yeah, she got them nice ass blinkas mmmmm, gimme a piece of that federally mandated safety equipment

So Group B is in and going to win, right?

4) Bare steel shift knob during the extremes of summer/winter. That shit hurts!
