It looks like a Kompressor and a Jag met in a battery store and had a baby.
iirc that wasn’t a GM product, aftermarket conversion.
Ten years ago, buying a shitbox Porsche like this was a “keep away” sign. These days it’s apparently some badge of honor. Five years after this kind of stupid purchase, the buyer will be at some party drinking his paycheck and complaining that WIC doesnt include Sour Patch Kids. I have no sympathy.
OK is it “Por-SHUH” or “Por-SHEH?”
yeah we have. We look at this money pit and it’s just not worth the “investment.” This one literally needs everything.
NP, but only if I can paint it white and park in the no-parking zone at the airport so I can run in and tell the love of my life how I really feel about her before she leaves for art school in Paris.
This doesn’t sound bad...
As the owner of a 1968 Olds Cutlass, I can tell you that the siren call only gets worse the bigger the engine gets.
Oh, HELL no.
Reminds me of the CR-Z. Beautiful car, doesn’t do anything particularly well.
A few general comments:
I’m in love with this. If only it was $20k cheaper and available in the US. Let’s be real, a car that can only (easily) go 100mi isn’t worth almost $50k.
When I sell $35k cars, I also leave random crap in the car and skip the engine bay detailing.
Yeah, that’s an Absolutely Not. Sure, the Mercedes-trained technicians don’t know what’s wrong, but I’m sure you’ll be fine!
You know how they always say there’s no such thing as a cheap (insert finicky luxury European marque)? That may be true, but if you’re destined to drain your bank account, I would almost rather go cheap up front. It’s coming for my wallet regardless, might as well hold some in reserve. This ain’t cheap. ND.
I’m smelling a Lemon Law refugee. Seems like a long list of ‘minor’ problems for such relatively low mileage. For sure, I’m not paying that much without having everything repaired. Love how it looks and the power, but this one just feels doomed, like the beautiful person you meet and fall for, except he/she overwhelms…
You can still find beaters with rough bodies for that much but high mileage doesn’t seem to change the price much for these. So if it has 90k vs 150k but same good overall condition they seem to be sold for similar.
Yeah, I was prepared to hate it, but the more I read about it, and looked at the details, I kinda dig it.
