Today, at 22k miles, the full engine replacement begins on my ‘84 Fiero. So, Hellcat Reliability is at least +1 on ‘My ‘84 Fiero Reliability.’

Yea that color’s awful.

My farts would have you forgetting it ever smelled of ‘Snake Bite’ or ‘Raptor Venom’ or whatever those flavors are. Been a long time since I bought Axe. But I’ve been farting all morning. So glad I work alone in the mornings.

Is that the dad from Frasier???

It won’t be trouble free. But with a good shop who’s on the same page with you (need a good shop and a good body shop), like I have access to (thank God), it will be well worth it. I’d jump on this one.

I’d love to be seen in that. Super cool.

It’s one of those cars I’d pay to get a ride in... specifically the Torino-based one. I have a list. They’re cars I don’t necessarily need to own (I have that mental list as well) but would pay 50 bucks or so just to have the owner take me on a ride.

Yep, 5k was my target on this too. Which is making me feel like a dick but oh well.

I just have an issue with it being that high with the mileage as high as it is. At 150k I’d be more likely to say ‘NP though not my cup of tea’ (I don’t much care for the interior). But the mileage really freaks me out for 7k. I can see by the voting there’s plenty of people who disagree, and that’s cool. No doubt

I remember being a kid, my dad took me with him going somewhere in Hamtramck, inside of Detroit. Out of nowhere, this loud-as-balls Ford Ranchero started roaring down the street. It was so crazy and intimidating and unlike anything I’d ever seen (or heard). I think stuff like that is just fantastic.

Underdog cars for the win!! I couldn’t agree more. Your podcast has been an awesome addition to my week. Can’t thank you enough for creating it.

Disco II dd’er checking in (166k miles and going strong). It’s a good deal. Low mileage, plus it’s the 2-door. Low enough price to budget in the more-than-100% additional maintenance money I promise it’ll run into in the first two or so years. But even at 10k after all that definitely happens, you’ve got yourself a

Rent it out on Turo to Doug DeMuro. Who endorses this super neato way to rent interesting cars and giggle in them!!

I hate this car and I hate that they went with ‘if we repair like half of it, it’ll look like that’s all the damage that was done because who repairs just half of it?? Why, WE do.’

The Pontiac will run just fine. And also be a basket case because the brittle, un-lubed Iron Duke has been ‘preserved’ for all this time haha

I like that we’re all doing a ‘don’t buy that, buy this instead’ now haha... for the record, I agree with your recommendation!!!

I was SO ready to be excited and go NP on this, especially as I’m about to have a reman Iron Duke plopped in my Fiero (25k is a lot of miles on the original engine to expect it to not burn oil!)... two Iron Dukes in the house and one with a slushbox? That’s a recipe for success in my weird head. But damn, this is one

There’s a surprising amount in the 8-10k range

Uh yea, my thoughts exactly. My dad picked me up from school in an Accord coupe he got as a loaner once. I didn’t understand how that worked and kind of assumed he was buying it. As it was the coolest thing I’d sat in as a cognizant not-toddler (my dad had an MG when I was too young to know how cool it was), I

Your parents ditched the New Yorker idea for a Conquest? Did they win ‘Best Parents Ever’ that year??? Damn!!!
