He’s a walking example of Dunning-Kruger, thinking he’s smart because he’s too stupid to realize the truth.  He was born on third and thinks he hit a triple, and that all his achievements were the result of his sheer brilliance, as opposed to a combination of birth, luck, and buying IPs already in development and

I thought it was pretty accepted that when super rich people have charities, those are usually just a way for them to funnel money back into their other enterprises. Twas ever thus.

This Mission is the Orion Shake down cruise. Just like a newly launched ship has her sea trials, Orion is having her Space trials. The Engineers are testing every system and every scenario to make sure that if something does go wrong with future missions like Artemis II or Artemis III, they don’t kill a bunch of

he had brought Tesla engineers over to Twitter so they could evaluate Twitter’s engineering staff”

Not releasing the film makes zero sense to me. Scooby Doo is a brand that has strong name recognition as IP. It’s a family Christmas movie that would be released during a time when there isn’t many other options for families to take kids to over the holidays. Not releasing it is just leaving money on the table

As we’ve seen on a national scale for the last 8 years, laws are only things to worry about if there are consequences attached to breaking them.

Negotiation time during normal working hours must be paid by law. They’re just committing standard management fuckery to try and break the union.

Yeah, it reads way more like “We’re trying to adapt to the way audiences consume media” and not “Let’s make a Tik Tok musical.”

That and the style of mysicals has evolved in the past 25 years With a big part of the current musical pop culture trend being songs done on tiktok where different people connect toks together in interesting and comedic ways. It is a different beast entirely to traditional musical numbers.

There are a lot of ways to interpret that Russo quote, but it seems to me he is saying that people have short attention spans these days and they need to respect that and try to turn it into a strength of the movie instead of a weakness.

The problem a lot of people seem to be unable to fully grasp is that an unfaithful adaptation isn’t necessarily a bad one. The Witcher Netflix series while not faithful to the source material is a great series. The same is true for the video game series.

John Carpenter’s The Thing is completely unfaithful to the source

I can’t say I won’t miss twitter, but watching this noxious buffoon set $44b on fire as he speedruns burning the site to the ground does have some entertainment value.

Musk reportedly doled out his directive to create a paid version of verification in the form of an ultimatum. The workers tasked with developing the feature need to complete their work by November 7th, or the Tesla CEO will fire them, accord to The Verge.

I just want to say that everytime I have gone into a gamestop the employees were doing their damndest to be polite and personable and considering how shitty the job is I want to thank them for not taking it out on the customers. You deserve better.

Behold the perils of the infinite scroll.

That doesn’t excuse it though, at the end of the day he’s still lamenting that someone talented died while someone (in his mind) less talented didn’t, which is shameful.

[Already posted this as a reply to someone else on a different article, so apologies to anyone reading this twice.]

In the right game, with the right framing, it’s possible that this kind of thing could be used as a poignant commentary on all sorts of different things - in general I don’t think video games should be exempt from doing that sort of thing just because they’re interactive.

So the same twist from the original game, how unique!
