My experience has been that the dough retains the liquid more in the baking process, so I don’t know if “wetter” was the right term.  It just normally takes longer.  I’ve never had problems hitting the right consistency in the mixing/kneading process though.  I mean, there a lot of things that can go sideways in

You have to be aware with whole wheat stuff though, generally it makes your doughs and batters wetter, and can deceive you into thinking that something is fully baked when it’s not.  It will probably look more burned, because the flour is dark.

I made Allison Roman’s Chocolate Banana Bread (cake, really) at the beginning of this when my surplus bananas turned on me, and MAN was that cake and definitely not bread.

Now I thought that buttermilk never really went bad in the fridge, unlike regular milk.  Is that incorrect?  Because I’ve definitely used buttermilk that has been in my fridge for a while, and had fine results in both performance and taste.

I think someone should be reading the Marblehead, MA Police Logs for good leaf-blower related drama.  You’re not even allowed to use those kinds of machines on Sundays in the town, and people will definitely call the cops on you if you do.

I mean, really, Joe Biden is just an older version of John Kerry, but 16 years later.

I have no faith that Biden wouldn’t veto a single-payer healthcare plan.  Because he’s adamantly against it.

    Fresh yeast is best yeast.

I think they just passed some reform in MI that will help alleviate this.

If you’ve got a car not getting used, sure go ahead and take off liability, but don’t take comprehensive off it. That protects you from theft, vandalism, fire, trees, hail, etc. Unless of course your car is over 10 years old, because regardless of what happens there is a good chance your insurance company will

I work at a large office that is primarily IT and IT-adjacent employees for a major company, and it is definitely a suburban/ex-urban area, and there are so many huge pickup trucks in that damned parking lot. I get it, maybe they have hobbies like 4-wheeling or snowmobiling where having the truck is good. But they

Do a dance because mayo is gross and nobody needs it.  Where’s Magary when you need him!?

Rich New Yorkers and Bostonians are fleeing their cities for the likes of Newport and Block Island, RI, The Cape and Islands in MA, and Maine in hopes of “distancing.” But distancing isn’t getting really far away from people, it’s staying at a safe, non-communicable distance from others. And people who live in those

From an accessibility standpoint, yeah these aren’t ideal. But while it’s not a super limited release, it’s not the new standard going forward. I haven’t played Uno in years and I want these.

If you get the Riverfolk Expansion, you can play Root single player against a Mechanical Marquise de Cat.  There is a lot to like about the game, it’s downright adorable with some interesting faction mechanics.

And money, don’t forget money.  It’s the economy, stupid!

I just started playing The Witcher 3, and the side quests are way more interesting already than a lot of RPGs. There feels like more nuance to them. Don’t just kill the griffin, learn why the griffin is doing this. Even though Nilfgaard is the invader in the Northern Kingdoms, some people aren’t fighting and just

Sounds like they see themselves as artists, not game developers, so explains the tack they took on this.

My company has both. Skype is creaky and unstable for us right now, Teams seems to work better and uses less bandwidth according to our IT ops.  People are constantly losing Skype calls and seem to be better anecdotally using Teams

I’m limiting takeout, mostly because it’s hard to eat healthily ordering takeout where I live unless I want to really hoof it. By the time I get the food home, it’s cold.
