Will diesels also be unavailable in Europe, or is it just in the US?

All the time. Renault uses (or used) “comma” shaped headrests, where you can freely adjust how much they extend forwards and so it’s perfectly possible to be driving in a normal position and have your head resting against them. They’re brilliant.
Nice Renault logo you have there.
Good lord that interior is hideous.
It’s actually very easy. At first you’re on full alert and everything goes ok, when you eventually start to relax you may end up trying to shift with the wrong hand. But not much more apart from that.
The bit that may get you is T-intersections when there’s no traffic coming (or similar situations), but that only…
Try buying one in Portugal! :D
I always found it to be very good looking and certainly a lot better than the 3 series that was coming out at the same time.
I used one of their kits twice now. It comes with rubbing compound, 4 types of sandpaper (each with a different level of grit), and polishing compound. If you do the whole thing as they say, including sanding and polishing in the end, the headlights will turn out pretty good.
On my Laguna:
Beautiful thing. Very classy.
So much want. Would love to have one, not to mention just being able to drive one!
Those old Citroëns become more appealing with every passing day.
Black rims, black roofs on white cars. Aftermarked headlamps, crappy OEM xenon systems that overadjust constantly and make it seem like the other car is flashing you.
Happy to share!
Mine (blue with spoiler) and a friend’s.
Beautiful! That one can truly be a lifelong companion.
In one form or another, I think my forever car will be the 1998 Renault Laguna. It was the first car I bought when I was still living in Portugal and a few years later when I bought a Volvo S80 that I had been craving for the longest time - I know, I’m weird -, I couldn’t come to terms with giving the Laguna away, so…
Beautiful! Do keep it.
Great story. This deserves a post of its own!
I can’t really explain it but what it brings to mind is the cheap scratchy plastic from economy car dashboards. Based on looks alone, of course.
I would like to see more pictures of the interior. That black... trim? on the door doesn’t look premium at all or at least what I would expect to see on a 7 series.
It’s the same model line, yes. The Mercedes Citaro is “famous” for catching fire. A few have burned in Portugal too.
