When I was in driving school they taught us that you should use specific gears for specific scenarios. For example you should always downshift all the way down to 2nd to do a roundabout and use that gear while you were going round it. Gears were always a direct correlation to speed. If you were doing x km\h, you

They get dirty just the same, the difference is being able to see it or not :D

That’s England for you. Everyone stops for everyone. And people merging think they have the absolute right of way and you just need to find space for them, even if they merge at 40 onto a 70 mph road.

I totally get this in a straight line, but on one of the roads I drive in daily there is a stop light right after a blind corner (with trees and shrubbery) and this is after a long stretch of road with a 60 mph speed limit. If you stop on the correct place, i.e., already inside the corner, you risk getting rear ended

I used to do this on the previous building I was living in. Second floor, direct view to place where the car was parked. Good times.

People who turn off their cars with their wipers still going and they end up stopped halfway across the windscreen.
People who spend minutes inside the car doing whatever without turning on their engine, and then when they want to go they turn it on and 0.1 of a second later they are in gear and flooring it. Granted,

This was a great read, from beginning to end. Very interesting indeed!

Imagine the results of a small overlap test. This is the easiest one, with the whole front acting as a makeshift crumple zone.

I think it was the game ToCa 2: Touring Cars and Colin McRae Rally 2.0.

I agree. The front looks good, the back is hideous.

Totally biased. My S80 at sunset.

The third one is absolutely gorgeous!

I love Volvos, I really do but I never ever liked the rear end of the S60. It seems like something’s missing.

Good God, that steering wheel is hideous.

I wouldn’t call it a cheap minivan though. They’re quite expensive when new, granted they are not as overpriced as the LDs.

Probably, I also have one on my S80 MY03.

That interior is ugly as hell.

Well played!

I’d buy a Volvo S90 for regular use and an old Citroen DS for weekend driving. Not too flashy, IMHO.

Ugly rear end, and that interior is a mess. Looks good from the front though.
