The “standard” is probably around 12 liters, with larger ones available like Volvo’s FH16 (16 litres). And then you also have smaller ones for local hauling like Scania’s 9 liters and so.
They look terrible as does the rest of the car.

Aren’t planes certified for an absolute maximum number of passengers, in which case they would need more emergency exits or something like that? In which case, there’s only so many seats you can cram into them and on economy airlines it should be pretty much maxed out by now.
One thing that makes a massive difference is the rear sun shade (if the car has it, otherwise the aftermarket ones will work too). Trust me, it’s a blessing, I don’t even have to adjust the rearview mirror.
I was thinking that. I seem to remember reading that these were somewhat unstable from the start, so increasing their height, fitting larger tires and then adding weight up high can’t have helped.

The exhaust pipe and leaf spring also seem to have it. But I’m also a believer that there’s no such thing as just superficial rust, so take my observation with a pinch of salt
