What I want from Kotaku:

Yeah I agree. The only games I usually buy day one are Nintendo and Sony exclusives that too only after embargo. This year my other day one has been AW2 but that’s because it was a sequel I’d been waiting for since 2010.

Pretty much. I’m patient since my backlog is obscene.

YEAH! BURN YOUR MONEY AT MY FEET YOU PENNILESS MONGREL!

*Actually did find a 55 inch 120hz QLED for 400 bucks.

Too bad people will pay it. Start passing the profits down to your labor and I’ll start paying full price for games again.

For me I was lucky enough to have a great neighborhood store. One guy owned and ran the place, sold games, cards, even had his own anime VHS collection that he rented out. Eventually he put a dozen consoles in the back for birthday parties. Only lasted about ten years, but it was amazing.

I certainly stopped going to deadspin

I was very confused about your comment, as there’s an EB Games just 10min away from me.

EB was no Software Etc... Especially when SE was still just a section of B Dalton.

I can still remember many Christmases ago trying to buy No Man’s Sky for PS4. A used copy was $50. A brand new copy online was $12, though? Weird. So instead of ordering it I saw it was in inventory literally down the street. I hopped int he car, pulled up, went inside, grabbed the one and only new copy, went to the

You guys are great🙏. That shouldn’t mean you have to be perfect. You deserve great support and great management.

Ideally I’d have sent the feedback to an “errors” contact form or email but I figured it’d just die there, and I also wanted to air the grievances a bit because things have been getting harder, it seems.

Here, here. So many good memories.

if i can be just a little honest here: the missing block quote was actually my fault. the kinja had it previously, but the cms decided not to keep it when i published the post after checks and edits. (gotta love kinja, right?) that said i appreciate y’all not dragging me for this. as you’ve noted, g/o media’s been

Ummm... have you been watching what’s happening around here and across the (remaining) G/O sites? I’m surprised they’re still able to keep the lights on, and now you want full-on proofreading and editing and stuff? That costs money, Jack. And I don’t think the check is in the mail.

I loved EBgames back in the day and I even ended up working at one. I always tried to avoid GameStop in those days for various reasons. I rarely shop there now a days anyway even though I have their reward card but this may be the last year.

Or Babbage’s. They were generally pretty decent to deal with.

Yeah the whole “indie movie” thing drives me crazy because most of the ones that get national attention are backed by major studio subsidiaries (JoJo Rabbit = Searchlight Pictures, a Fox imprint) or are pet projects of ludicrously wealthy actors-turned-producers (Emily the Criminal was produced in part by star Aubrey

Was this supposed to be block quote text?

$900 off means that this thing is probably still very expensive.

That’s a safe bet with a lot of these types of people. It’s the same crowd that cried about how they supposedly made Tifa’s boobs “small” in FFVII Remake, not realizing that they simply gave her a sports bra and any women whose chest is still that impressive under a sports bra must have pretty huge knockers. But you
