While I understand the need for Korra to have obstacles to overcome, she hasn't had much of an opportunity to really excel at anything recently. Watching Kuvira effortlessly dodge Korra's bending attacks just reinforces that Korra hasn't actually learned much in all her trials, and is still pretty much just a clumsy

My prediction is that we get another time skip showing the reality of Kuvira's reign, possibly leading up to a takeover of Republic City. Maybe Korra will be ready by then?

I actually hoorayed for trauma, I was glad to see they didn't make PTSD that easily overcome.

Mad props to Skrillex Beifong for standing by his dad.

I'm not going to lie here, Peter Capaldi is such a great doctor! This is why we have nice things.

+1 to that. The "men are castrated when they show vulnerability" trope is so stale.

Love will solve everything. In fact love is a physical phenomenon that can change the nature of reality. Also, metaphysics and physics are the same thing, because they both end in "physics." HULK ANGRY WITH BULLSHIT WOO COP-OUT TROPE.

Yep, I was about to say Scorpion.

YES thank you.

I'm tired of men showing vulnerability and love being described as "castrated, emasculated, neutered." Maybe get rid of that trope in life.

Being nerdy means they are the butt of the joke because they can't socialize or tell their fantasy world from reality.

Finally! Thank you! I am a friendly genius and hate the asshole genius stereotype...

Case Study: Scorpion

What trope do you find so offensive that you feel it should be put out of its misery—at least for a while?

It has to be the one that transcends genres: The story of black or foreign culture told through the eyes of a white person.

When you think of it the woman-in-refrigerator trope and the manic-pixie-dream-girl trope are offensive for the exact same reason.

Killing a major character. They always come back, we all know they always come back.

Women always having to be rescued by men trope. It's gotten a little better in recent years, but even in "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak," Felicity and her mother would have been screwed if not for a) the watch Palmer gave Donna and b) Roy and Ollie swooping in.

Oh, boy. Good to not even mention Laurel's screw up of the week. She pulled a Ferguson Chief of Police move and escalated panic into full-blown riot.

"Felicity's mom, Donna, who is, as far as I can tell, five years older than her daughter"
