YES!!!

Nah, I think they came for the guy on the left.

You have no idea what I was saying. Re-read my post if you care.

I am NOT joking when I say this:

I think too many people are not making enough of a big deal about them. I hate to see the gaming community tolerate the bullsh*t DRM practices going on here. We'll begin to see more of this garbage, usually justified by horribly, ridiculously inflated claims of piracy.

I have yet to see a functional online "avatar-based" community that is working on the consoles. The PlayStation Home is just something I care nothing for, Microsoft has made no attempt, and the Wii's online community was dead in the water before it launched due to Nintendo's complete ignorance/blindness to the new age

I really hope that in addition to great innovative little titles and indie games, Nintendo has a powerful and impressive lineup of top-notch games for the Wii U. I'd hate to see the system get off to the gimmicky start that the Wii did. Even now, many "hardcore" gamers refuse to even acknowledge the small but

I'm sure Blizzard will pretend that the terribly flawed game is just perfect the way it is, and pretend that it's all good.

First of all, f*ck DRM on music. I REFUSE to purchase music and play this bullsh*t DRM game of where it can be played, how it can be played, etc. If I buy a song, I better be able to put that song on whatever device I want to listen to it on.

This is reminding me of the Metroid Prime series for some reason, especially the new enemy designs.

You are absolutely right about that. Other than a small handful, I don't expect much to happen with this from third-parties. After all, they are not going to spend a lot of time modifying a game just for the Wii U's added functionality.

If I get over myself, I'll leave myself behind.

"It's not a big deal."

Exactly. the problem wasn't that the game began with action — the problem was that after hours of gameplay you still had no freakin' clue what was going on and who was who!

I think you're playing word games, and nothing more. It is absurd to claim they are of the same linearity, and akin to pure stupidity. This discussion has no value at this point.

I think you're confused on what the complaints were, because the linearity was only the loudest complaint, but most definitely not the only one.

I find it nearly impossible to believe you've played many Final Fantasy games if you think they are all "barely more" non-linear.

Now playing

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think you have any idea what I'm talking about based on your examples. Half Life 2, while not my favorite game, was NOTHING like FFXIII in terms of linearity.

Amalur starts out with you fighting your way out of a mine/cave. There is a short cutscene, but you can skip it.

I didn't hear a single complaint about the beginning of FFXIII having action in it. In fact, that's one of the only things I didn't hear a complaint about. FFXIII is terrible for numerous other reasons.
