I’m really excited about this show. It’s a relief too because there’s not a lot of other new content I like at the moment. Sorry Season 7 of The 100, but you’ve inspired nothing but apathy.

If you are wondering why Starman spent his dying words solely on insisting that one of the people in life he was closest to NOT TAKE HIS STAFF it would be the Hall of Justice scene.
I think there are some unexplored Behrad facets that have been opened.
Caity Lotz needs to record a very bad version Rocket Man as soon as humanly possible.
According to IMDB, the actress is Sophia Johnson who also according to IMDB was the bride in Seance and Sensibility. I initially thought the actress was Amanda Schull (Cassandra in 12 Monkeys, Katrina in Suits) and that she would have a bigger role in the episode. It makes total sense based on the Friends parody she…
The one thing about Nate and Zari the First is that it will probably mean the death of (or at least significant change of tone in) Nate the Bro . I found his interactions with TV Zari to be cringey, but also probably in line with how the show Friends has aged. That said, Nate referring to himself as a “Kiss Misser”…
This is good. One of the things about the Netflix Lost in Space that caused me to drop off was the hour long episodes.
I kind of like when fictional shows do the floating-ish timelines. For example, the several decades that Archer simultaneously takes place in.
Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg issued a joint apology at the time as she approved it and he performed it. Also, blackface was one of many, many things wrong with that performance.
This episode has absolutely sold me on the show. I’m a big fan of the Luke Wilson-Brec Bassinger pairing as a step-family. It doesn’t come off as a lifelong family bond. Pat’s efforts don’t come off as over the top. I’m very excited to see where it goes.
I did enjoy that a lot. I also enjoyed that on the Chicago broadcast there was a commercial shortly afterwards for a law firm that deals with slips and falls that featured nothing but broken stairs.
Ashley on Degrassi: Hey Craig, knock up any freshmen lately?
Me: WTF?
Agreed. I would refer you to my above comment about line infantry and window covering.
I get confidence in the team, but Sara also said she could not see anything past her death. Faith or no faith, I was just surprised that people as experienced at fighting decided to have a disorganized melee against a horde of zombies they had a bit of advanced notice of and certainly knowledge of the possibility.
I don’t disagree. On paper Zari and Constantine don’t make the most sense and the writers habit of rushing romances on this show makes it more jarring. Even Sara and Ava (who I think are very well received as a couple) went from disdain in “Aruba-Con” to slightly less disdain in “Return of the Mack” to flirty fun in…
Are you not a Zari II and Constantine fan?
I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. I also had to make some edits upon re-reading your review as we agree on quite a bit and it sounds like I’m just restating your points.
I’m not normally the “someone should get fired is noticeable. To build a good history and good characters and go “well fuck it,” for a joke rather than make the joke work (see the mattress comment below) is lazy.
I remember in another forum I criticized a narrative decision to have Nate pose as Behrad’s professor instead of a fellow student since I thought they were the same age. I found out from Wikipedia that Nick Zano is in his early 40s and I found out from a Google result leading to Nuwber that Shayan Sobhian is 25.…
I loved this episode, but it also highlighted a lot of the misgivings I have had about this season.
