At its best, Futurama was brilliant science fiction (they have handled time travel as well as anyone) which could also work as a parody and hit emotional notes. But even in its first run, there were stretches of middling episodes. There was never the consistency that you had with the first ten years of The Simpsons.

“I love you!”

I recently rewatched the movies and yeah, they’re not great, and Bender’s Game is probably the worst. I never liked the second one much either, and the first I only liked for its twist.

The entire CC run is worth it for “The Late Philip J. Fry” alone.

Comparisons to the Comedy Central run felt like best-case scenario, honestly. A mixed bag with topical episodes that had already aged poorly by the time they aired, but with a few modern classics, and if I get a couple more of those classics, then fine. I always said the show’s 2013 ending was perfect because it had

If they did they’ll be hearing from two lawyers from Andromeda.

Any 90s kids remember that Home Improvement when Tim and Jill found Brad’s tiny bag of weed and went apeshit?

Tim Allen was a terrible TV father. I am glad that Kaitlyn Dever emancipated herself from him

Yeah, the rules of time travel in the Arrowverse are a mess. But I see it like this:

Yeah, but he's a time remnant, so that gives him Flashpoint immunity!

And she rejected Don Draper! You GO Sara!

Agreed! It's so deeply satisfying to see unnecessary conflicts be avoided in favour of more interesting ones. I really like the interactions between Rip and Sarah since he came back.

I liked at the end of the crossover in the fall, Ollie and Dig quietly marveling at how Sara has gotten past her issues and become this badass time-traveling superteam leader who pilots a spaceship & acts like it is nothing & were justifiably in respectful awe of her.

I feel bad for whoever the actress was that played Sara Lance in the Arrow pilot. Casting the sensational Caity Lotz in the role for Arrow season two (they even reshot the scenes on the Queen's Gambit with her for the flashback) basically erased her from existence like she was a time aberration.

Sara Lance wouldnt be a series regular on a spin-off if they had cast anyone other than Caity Lotz.

Used to be …. long ago. Flash season 1 was arguably the best season of any DC adaption for TV. Season 3 has arguably been the worst of any. The precipitous drop is astounding.

I've got a feeling that Legends will follow AoS's footsteps of being a show that used to be mediocre/terrible in its first season but improved greatly later on, only to have most people dismiss it still.

I enjoyed how the handled the Sara vs Rip as captain debate - especially in their last scene together. The two of them have always had a nice chemistry, and it was big of him to admit that she's better at it than him.

I’ve mentioned in past reviews that a big reason I’m enjoying Legends
more this season is because it offers a lighter, more sensational
approach to superhero narratives than the majority of superhero TV
shows, and this is especially clear when comparing Legends to its current lead-in, The Flash.
That series has been
