Do not call Ted Cruz a ding-dong. Ding dongs are good, with that chocolatey coating and the cream filling and that dry, preservative enriched cake.

my lifelong dream is to never watch Ben Affleck act in anything again. Please God, please ... I ask so little ...
I don’t know if you’re in the minority (the vast body of commentary I’ve seen agrees that the problems in the movies were not Ben Affleck’s fault), but you’re certainly not alone. I thought the casting overall for these movies was pretty good - not you, Jesse - and that the actors did reasonably good jobs with lousy…
Yeah but does that have the highly sought-after Twitter alt-right rapist seal of approval?
I hope they let James Gunn do James Gunn.
And just adapt Hush—or The Long Halloween. One of those. I mean, improve on Hush a bit, but it’d be a good way to go, if they’re serious about going the detective route.
Oscar. Isaac.
Oh yeah I never believe a DC movie is coming out until I see a trailer
You misspelled his name. It’s Jesse “I’m so honoured to work with Woody Allen” Eisenberg
Yup. It was one bad decision after another that mainly seemed to stem from wanting to mirror the success of the MCU instantaneously. Specifically trying to get to their version of an Avengers movie, the big team up movie, in just a couple years. There was no planning from the top down. Instead they gave creative…
mart. honestly, it’s very not worth it. It’s exactly as bad as you think, in the non-spectacular or interesting way you expect.
He’s got what we can only assume/hope is a meaty role in the Watchmen tv series, so while I’d absolutely love Jeremy Irons to stick around, he’s at least been compensated for his commitment to superhero movies.
Also, don’t hire respected, multiple Oscar nominee, Amy Adams for BvS, MoS and JL and have her end up just playing “The Girl”. So many of her scenes in those three just screamed “Are this week’s paychecks in yet?”
Not really that upset he’s gone. I know those movies were shit and he deserved a better movie and probably could direct a good Batman movie, but he’s likely supressed evidence about Harvey Weinstein, his brother Casey and made that gross joke about Supergirl during JL interviews.
BvS is a bunch of good (or at least decent) actors trying
BvS is a bunch of good (or at least decent) actors trying to make the movie not terrible and boring. There’s just only so much you can do with shit material.
Poor Affleck. First he gets to play the very awesome Daredevil in a terrible movie, than he gets to play the iconic Batman, but in three abominable films.
What a complete hodgepodge Warner Bros handling of DC on film has been, this could have been easily have been avoided had they not decided the jettison MoS2 and instead crowbar a Frank Miller deconstructionist version of the character in there to set up a now kinda-maybe dead universe (though saying that also not…
He’s retiring to spend more time groping John Mulaney’s wife.
