"...anyone who has to suffer under the heel of a joke "democracy.""

I was visiting Rome and taking a bus with some friends when we started talking to a nun who couldn't have been older than 25. She was from Seattle, and had just gotten to Rome a few months before, so she was still acclimating, but knew her shit. We get to a stop, and a man snatches her backpack and tries to run off of

Oh, good lord, my wife. I should record some of the stuff she says when her alarm goes off. I don't use an alarm - my body wakes me up at the same time every day, thankyouverymuch - but she does, even though she doesn't need one because she's unemployed. When it goes off, she proceeds to ignore it for 5 minutes or so

Jesus Christ.

I think we all need some cute puppies or something. It's really demoralizing.

I just feel like this whole country is trolling me now. Unarmed black men beaten and killed in the streets and hundreds of racists donate money to the white cop perpetrator while also posting insanely racist messages, meanwhile white folks carry around assault rifles while they're shopping at WalMart completely

Welcome to Jezebel, I will be your guide.

Someone was saying earlier how cops are normal citizens. A normal citizen would be charged already.
It has got so completely out of hand, if there are good cops, let's help them by getting rid of the bad ones.

Meanwhile, Facebook just informed me that more money has now been raised in Darren Wilson's name than in Michael Brown's.

More like SMUGshot, right you guys?

Hey, there's no need to be so fucking classist. These aren't "tuxedo cats"; they're just dressed reasonably: it's after five, and they're not farmers.

Yeah I was puzzled by that. It sounded like the police didn't really do much to stop the looting last night - other community members guarded the stores and cleaned up this morning.

Yeah, and I strongly got the feeling from watching the news that the protesters and looters were not the same groups of people. The protesters were large groups of people of all ages holding signs and marching with clear-cut objectives of getting justice for Michael Brown and exposing police brutality. The looters

I think the police chief is an inept racist asshole moron. I really think this is why we aren't getting any answers and why things aren't moving forward. But it's my hope that as soon as we get a few nights of calm, he gets booted out of his job. If this curfew brings about those few nights of calm, I'm for it.

Now playing

This is one of those "man this really sucks" situations where there are valid points on both sides and (with the exception of the original police and the rioters/looters) everyone seems like they are trying to do the right thing.

If you need me, i'll be sitting on the fence.

I'm happy that the mood was better yesterday, but there is no way that it makes up for what happened over the previous days. I feel like people are going, "now it's over, everything is fine." But it's NOT FINE. There are a lot more names that need to be released, including the police officers that unlawfully

Jackson began his statement by referencing a robbery that occurred at a convenience store on Saturday, August 9, the same day Brown was shot. According to Jackson, Wilson was at the scene of a sick call with an ambulance, he received the call about a "strong arm robbery" at a store and then "encountered" Brown.

I've never been attacked by a wayward dildo.

Three things.
