Still refusing to put it on a trailer and have it shipped home so you can work on it in peace until it’s bulletproof and reliable, huh? Because doing so is too much trouble? Or are you just a determined automotive masochist?

Ditto for me! I own an E39 and E53! I do all my own wrenching and maintenance and just started working on a friend’s E90! But the never the car, the harder the wrenching seems to be, the less user friendly the engines are getting and the more ‘special tools’ you either have to buy or try to fabricate yourself, ugh!
Computer generated fake engine noises. Bmw does it in their M5..
Nope, not cool with that. Electric hypercar is an oxymoron. If it doesn’t go vroom, then it’s not a real car. How about just having it computer driven and no steering wheel? That way owners can always get the perfect, consistent track results each time!
Brilliant! Fix the blown oil cap, tow the other bug to fix it’s clutch, then switch and tow to fix the first bug’s brakes. Imagine the stories and photo ops!
Because having it put on a trailer and shipped for you to the East coast would have been too much of a hassle
That saddle upholstery and trim pieces look gorgeous with the black. Gorgeous!
Yes! The perfect culmination of everything just right, elegant and timeless. A formula BMW has been enable to repeat since
This... Has got to be the most interesting, unique, and fun car I have ever seen posted here! A sleek replica of an iconic car, with a sunroof, and one that is a functional aamphibious machine as well? Definitely blows the pants off all other attempts when it comes to style. This is even cooler than a DeLorean with a…
It’s biggest flaw is the lack of an internal combustion engine and manual transmission.
Typical new age yuppie car stereotype: getting all excited about the stereo and the displays, paying no attention to the drive train, robustness and reliability of design..
But.. It’s so ugly inside compared to an E39... The saddle upholstery doesn’t make up for the post 2004 shyring
If only we could delete iDrive and replace it with a proper touch sensitive or mfd screens, no joysticks or funky touchpad, it would be a competent all around vehicle. Otherwise, as far as I am concerned, it’s aas handicapped as they all have been ever since BMW introduced that damn interface of theirs. One of the top…
Just sitting there protected from further damage must help it appreciate. I wonder how much he gave for it? Does it still have the engine? If not then LS1 swap haha ftw!
Am is the perfect way to broadcast news and talk radio over a larger geographic region. It’s aa simple technology that still works for the right purpose. Ditto for communication
That’s the kind of true futuristic technology that got my imagination and hope for a bright future going. Too bad cars have de evolved since then
Now that’s a kind of storing I can understand! Simple, elegant, right to the point, gentle curves and sharp corners that show strength, instruments that are easy to read and not those DAMN pseudo retro gauge pods set back deep and with that annoying chrome rings, and controls easy to reach and read. The gal is cute…
The original NSX had a truly futuristic, original, beautiful, elegant style. Which still moves my heart. TThe nnew one looks like every other modern sports car, and they all look like they were designed by video gamers. All copy and paste cliche
This is why I love 80s and 90s cars and why the new crops of cars do nothing for me. This car didn’t need paddle shifters or gadgets with name that start with i to give the driver heart pounding performance. And it did so 30 years ago!
I think that’s how a lot of the cobra replicas sell what are basically new ‘old’ cars
