Too late! Starred = lives forever.
Too late! Starred = lives forever.
piggyback, huh?
Orwell was a staunch anti-Stalinist and was suspicious of anyone he felt might support the USSR.
With the way this has been heating up lately, that’s gonna be an interesting “In Memorium” at the Oscars when Hutchins pops up. Alec Baldwin would be wise not to attend. It’s just too awkward / easy to cut to a reaction shot of him in the audience.
Until the courts have the ability to bring dead loved ones back from the grave, money will have to do.
He says the lawsuit is motivated by money. My response would be “so?”.
Those involved in the investigation of Hutchins’ death continue to search for an answer as to how the live ammunition ended up on the set in the first place.
B5's story would have changed gear in S2 regardless. They dedicated the entire S1 to build the story’s foundation, but hid from the studio that it was a continuous story. What was NOT expected was the original lead actor’s serious illness. Treatment would have taken time and risked cancellation. So the character was…
Pedowitz is an ... unfortunate name.
What do you mean by cursed? Five seasons plus a number of standalone movies seems like a good run. Also an ok but not great spin-off.
This reboot is going to disappear and reappear mysteriously years later? Are we sure it’s not about Babylon 4?
There’s a 1% chance that he’ll finish one more of those books, a 0.1% chance that he’ll finish the series, and a 98.9% chance that his estate will hire a ghostwriter to finish the series posthumously and then pump out a new book every year or two in perpetuity. At that point there’s a 100% chance that people on the…
Fans gravitate towards communities for the validation of their own thoughts and feelings, which turns into an echo chamber of negativity. It also feeds a malignant sense of entitlement. I can’t stand most communities that I fundamentally agree with because of this dynamic. It’s super unhealthy. Also nobody can just be…
My opinion’s not particularly original, but I do truly think that he lost track of where he was going after book 3.
You all know he is never finishing the books right? Everyone assumes his ending will be better then the show but I think his ending was nearly identical to the shows and he saw how hates that was and now he’s stuck trying to rewrite something to make every one happy.
Lost never had any other material come out to compare it to. But it hasn’t stopped Lindelof or Cuse from having successful follow ups.
My opinion’s not particularly original, but I do truly think that he lost track of where he was going after book 3. Hell, even during book 3: while it has a lot of really iconic moments from the series (Red Wedding, Lady Stoneheart, etc.), those kind of disguise the fact that it also starts to feel like stuff’s just ha…
I think internet commenters wildly overestimate how many people dislike the final seasons due to the internet bubble.
Yeah he probably did care at one point but was stuck in a corner he’d written himself into and doesn’t know how to get out of it (he’s now rewriting sample chapters he released years ago) and the poor reception of what was no doubt his at least at the time original synopsis probably hasn’t helped matters.
My prediction: eventually the Winds of Winter will be released, at a time when it’s clear the series as a whole will never be finished (the Tales of Dunk and Egg will also never be finished, and if he sticks to his pledge then Fire and Blood Part 2 won’t be released either). It will clearly be unadaptable and still…
