Yes! You forgot mypillow.

There are people who can, but as you can imagine, more people buy items that they can not afford.

I consider these circumstances as part of being able to afford a car. It is easier in Southern CA than in Toronto, apparently. By the way, 20mph is what one is supposed to do with a supercar. Any faster and it is losing value and, more importantly,  nobody can see you.

LOL. I am in the same boat or, rather, hatchback. My daily is a ‘17 GTI and my other car is a faster 2-door sports car. I agree that the GTI is every bit as engaging although in a different way. Sometimes you have to have 8 cylinders. Double LOL.

Yep, you have to be able to afford the car. Which means not only paying it but also being able to enjoy it without the crowds if you wish. A private track is a nice complement to one of these cars.

Well, if you have a run where you can spend $100+M a year, and are healthy enough to enjoy an item, then the price matters not $200K, $2M, same thing. The limiting factor is not the price, but a person’s awareness of an item. I suspect at least a few thousand people can do this any given time, which gives you a pretty

In other words, nothing new. Same goes for a number of exclusive models over the years.

Points to you for knowing the difference between North and South Dakota, but you need to put down that jayjay.

Money completely devalued... LOL. Are you willing to bet on this? Really? I have a bridge to sell to you then. I guess you do not believe in market economy then. Hint: money does not have to be edible.

Indeed. This actually makes my point.

I am sure you have heard of market economy. The gist is that those with money will find a way to buy food. Always have and always will.

Whether this happens at a state or fed level in Nebraska is indeed a guess. The point is it will happen soon. In my just as conservative state of North Dakota there have been two attempts to pass the legalization bill. Both attempts failed, but margins are shrinking. The next one or the second next one i fully expect

True, but coasts also make all the money for the rest of us so they get to have a say in this, for better or worse. Texas excepted.

True. EVs will be a lot more competitive if there is no gasoline at your friendly gas station. Re: sales of pot. Sure, there are differences between states, but check in a year or two and your state will be as legal as CO.

Fuck ads permanently covering comments in a mobile version of the site. Fuck hard. The IT people running the site were much better at flipping burgers.

Which will be, like $5,000 in today's dollars

Darwin.

Then you buy a junker. You can't afford any kind of a nice car. If you think you need a new reliable car to do your important things, see above: you can't afford it and you need to buy a junker.

Exactly. Where the fuck does Jalopnik pull their “writers” from nowadays? On the other hand, I do not want to know...

WUT?
