Sadly, Jaguar didn’t do a very good job on this car. First, it is horribly inefficient as compared to other electric vehicles. That is, it uses up way more kilowatt-hours per mile than comparable EVs.

You should probably drive one. When it comes to what makes a luxury car these days (since everything is stuffed with features now) it outclasses most luxury cars. It’s super quiet, has a great ride, handles extremely well and is very fast. The minimalist interior still has real wood and quality leather, and of course

Tesla also better “pull off” generating cash.

Brake engineer here:

Vast majority of vehicle motion is returned to the battery, as the electric motors act like a generator in reverse. Brake pads on a Tesla literally never need to be replaced for lifetime of the car.

don’t realize that they’re not really Car People”

Musk is the type of person who just speaks his mind. He doesn’t follow a script.

Bunch a fuckin’ grumpy old men in the comments section today.

The Musk haters have been mudslinging for so long they can’t do basic math.

They spent a shitload of money building out the ability to mass manufacture Model 3s. Now they are manufacturing a shitload of Model 3s at 20%+ profit per unit. Their investments are paying off. It is pretty simple.

I don’t know that unfair is the right term here. You’ve got two cars that do the same thing (move people and stuff from point A to point B). One of them has different design constraints due to how that thing (the ability to move stuff and people) is implemented and takes advantage of that to deliver better crash

Some of that change threatens people.

Honestly I dont get all the hate for Musk. Yeah he says and does some pretty questionable things, but you cant argue with the fact that he really does try to change the world for the better.

I have nothing negative to say about Musk opening his checkbook for a cause we should ALL be able to agree, is worthy but the fact that an individual/company is doing something the government should be doing, for something that we can all agree, is a basic necessity, is abhorrent.

“What it tells us is this board, as a strategic plan, must be using the Jim Jones-Jonestown suicide pact. They are drinking the Kool-Aid of the founder. It is completely as self-destructive as Musk is.”

I can’t believe I wasted the time to read this article that boils down to a lawyer making a dumb joke.

Where did Tesla touch you?

Or we could . . . ya know . . . celebrate that relatively new American car company, despite all of its flaws, is a) actually producing cars, and b) making some safe ones at that.

You must be fun at parties...

No. Short selling is betting you can release enough negative press against a company that you drive its stock down and make a profit. Very few short sellers actually bet on just the market anymore.
