I’m most surprised they let you drive alone? I’ve only ever seen that when it is a husband/wife combo in a 2-seater.
Unlike the wildfire example where only a small portion of the pool is hit by a fire, the pool you suggest is typically all hit at once. So, its not really an insurance pool, more of a mandated savings account IMO.
Yeah on the cuts, but probably not the regs. Those would still fall back to the federal regulations. EPA regs would still apply. So they would be trying to get companies to come into an area of greater poverty and likely lower education, because they would cut that too. At best they might get dog food plants or…
Eh. That line doesn’t bother me because KBB has always been wrong on my own cars. 2005 RX-8 blue booked for $4,500 in 2014 and I sold it for $9k. Even my Chevy Sonic RS manual went for $2k above blue book. Just because the masses don’t care about the A package or whatever, you know there is a Honda David Tracy out…

Giving a family of four an additional $96k/yr salary (presumably tax free) would be insane, result in a wild amount of inflation, and put our debt payments higher than our GDP in no time. I’m a Dem and I think that’s stupid as hell.
No, Wasabi is a plug for a butt. I am a plug for cigarette butts.
Woah! I am not a butt plug. I’m a plug for your cigarette butt. Not a cigarette plug for your butt.
I meant no offense. I said Lanesplitter because while it was around it was usually an awesome article every day. I miss the volume of great articles, and the occasional splash into watercraft.
Give David a raise.
Bring back Lanesplitter.
The difference is astonishing. Here is mine for comparison. Some of the parking is covered out back because 45C+ is a yearly thing in Phoenix.
Curious, how many reasons total (ball park) is that out of?
Until you park it, then you hear “I really wish I could fit this in my garage”. Ditto for crowded parking lots, parallel parking, and parking garages.
Neutral: I’m in suburbia with 1 square mile blocks so there aren’t a ton of those that would do better without cars. But, there is a downtown restaurant district with wonderful outdoor seating if it weren’t for the busy road going right down the middle. Get rid of that one and I’m much more likely to go out to eat…
Neutral: My concern is everybody starting back up at once, particularly in SE Michigan and other hot spots with multiple plants. I expect cases to rise after start-up, and it may not matter as much in a town with one plant where the rest of the town is unrelated. But in SE Michigan, all three OEMs plants and their…
I don’t think you need to specify northern.
I’ve somehow managed to avoid this. Putting all of my normal expenditures that aren’t happening now (child care, swim lessons, student loans, etc.) in a savings account I never check. I think keeping that checking account artificially low helps.
