my motorcycles not knocked over by crazy people
Depends on the specific jean. Most motorcycle gear, jeans included, are hand wash only. Which is difficult and/or impossible. I just put the jeans (or other moto clothes) by themselves in the washing machine on permanent press, then I hang dry them in the garage.
As someone who grew up in the never ending cornfields of this country, believe me when I say people of all ages do this shit.
I think I won. Perhaps another dealer would have gone lower, but my time is worth something. And when a verbatim request for a written quote is returned with “come check out our inventory”, I think I have an idea of what the sales and finance process is going to be like.
I bought from one of the three. The 13 dealers who didn’t send me a written quote didn’t get responses from me. They basically refused to enter competition. The three who did submit a written quote competed against each other. Two people won, me and the dealer who went the lowest.
Eh. Last time I shopped i contacted 16! different dealerships in metro phoenix for a written quote. All of them were happy to call me or email me to try and get me to come in. Three of them emailed me a written quote of out the door price even with a VIN attached.
I think a range is reasonable too, a 12.5% variation is a bit wild though. They should try and lock that down a little more.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll check those out.
Motorcycle denim could be classified as the “brown manual diesel shooting brake” of motorcycle gear.
My immediate thought was “That’s lame” then I thought “Can you remove the limiter”. Now I’m thinking going over 100 on anything but serenely calm water would be terrifying. What is too fast on one of these?
God dammit.
If I still lived in Michigan I think I’d love to have that spark as well. PWCs are so much fun. They beat you to death in the most wonderful of ways.
On the bright side, at least he was nice enough to include delivery and handling of the bullshit.
I saw you say its for sale and checked Autotrader for it. Can’t even search for AM General there! Wierd that you have to sell it on a specialty forum, I assume you are hummerdelphia. There might be an article in the sales process of this one.
Same, I worked as a detailer, car washer, lot boy etc... If I order a new car in from the factory (nobody stocks nice colors and manuals), I ask them to leave it in all the wrap that it came on the truck and nothing more. I know how liberally wheel acid is applied around the fenders and how often wax pads are changed.
I understand the joy of watching the car washer do that, but if it’s a new car you’re better off doing it yourself. Otherwise your perfect new car paint is going to have fingernail “brush marks” in the clear coat. 10x so if the sticker is in multiple pieces, my last car had xx chevrolet with all individual letters.
Name me another business where the owner would be happy with a 6.66% profit margin.
Wow, those really stand out. Might as well leave the wrappers on the seats and the white sticky wrap on the hood.
Somebody, somewhere, has made a serious drag racing Hummer. It has 4 drag radials, a heavily boosted 600+ cu in engine, and green peace stickers. Now I’m curious if that somewhere is anywhere other than my mind.
Wow! Glad you are around to type this. $92k is all sorts of ridiculous. I’ve never given serious thought to chest protectors but after this comment and the article I’m thinking they may be a good investment for longer rides. Probably still too inconvenient for daily commuting.
