For the motorcycle: Taking it to the canyon

I can’t stop wondering if this would work. I want to know if the tortoise could figure it out.

This. When he says there was a 16v and 24v engine, you don’t have to correct him to inform him. Just say “this car has 24 valves.” Sure, the guy is still ignorant, but you are salesman, not a professor.

The only good thing about this trend is that proper top trim sedans are depreciating even faster. Next year when the new 7-series comes out I will be all over a ~$26K 2010 750LI.

I’m a hater, I hate SUVs with a passion. I primarily commute by motorcycle, SUVs block my vision, they take up more of the lane, their drivers don’t know where the vehicle ends, it is a mess. I can see over cars, and when in my car I can see over their hoods when trying to turn right on red and checking to my left.

The prowler is like the SSR in that it is unique, resisting depreciation, and that I want one for a few months. They are both still going for 30k or more!

I’m pretty sure grabbing your lapel and screaming in your face is assault. If it isn’t in US law, it is in my personal law. What despicable people.

I had one for four years. You are correct except the handling. The handling was sublime and instinctive. It allowed you to go much faster than you should around a corner. In the wet, it was a wonderful drift learner. You could step out the back at 10mph and it was very easy to keep the slip angle right where it needed

“The clutch wouldn’t fully disengage and the front brake will throw you over the bars! I don’t know where the engine cutoff button is, so I had to lay ‘er down. Turns out normal jeans don’t hold up too well against asphalt” - Stereotype

Motorcycle accidents are no joke. They will be paying for a lot more than repairing a bike.

You point out the root of the problem quite well. Nobody making laws about riding, rides. They don’t know the dangers, the capabilities, the benefits, or anything else about riding a motorcycle.

There are several key words that if heard in an argument let you know that you can ignore the speaker:

Good article Steve, but I hate that this is real. I love it when people let others drive, just yesterday I saw DeMuro offer to let someone from the internet to drive his new GTR. How cool is that!!! How sad is it that, as you have shown, there are many legal incentives to not do that ever.

Why does this car exist? I find it hard to believe these changes will result in more buyers. The buyers of these cars will be the same ones who were going to purchase the premium BRZs anyway.

Doug, Congratulations on an article that has been trending higher for 19 hours than an article with “teen” and “sex party” in the headline!!

Hagerty was the one place I thought you wouldn’t struggle with. I’m still curious what the process would have been like with somebody like State Farm. You probably could have gotten a column out of it. As always, thanks for the response.

Awesome. As always, thanks for the response.

How do you expect insuring it to go? Aside from the obvious “That is not in my system”, I’m wondering how many games you will have to play. Mileage limits? Collector’s policy? Obnoxiously overpriced premium?

Doug, now that the car has exceeded your expectations, are you considering keeping it for a longer term? Or are you still going to write quickly and flip it as soon as you run out of article ideas?

How is the battery life on your phone when using it as a hotspot? On mine it drains the battery even when I have the phone plugged in!
