Here for my car I live in a place with no inspections, or anything (Great Plains). I get the thing inspected as part of regular service every 6 months. They found a worn suspension piece from one too many potholes. I got it fixed. Keeping up on maintenance as long as you have an honest shop or yourself working on it…

I stay away from those subreddits...except /r/MURICA or /r/anormaldayinrussia...those are fun to read. There is a small amount of us on Reddit who use Reddit to share technical knowledge like on some of the cell carrier subreddits. There are a lot of engineers on /u/tmobile for example.
