This happened in Big Spring, TX east of Midland in case anyone wanted to know.

You win sir!

Most eCVTs are excepted. Those don’t have belts anymore, just gears much like a pure electric car(not hub motor ones).

Not true in Michigan either.

That 2500 extra might be because of shipping the car from the mainland (see Jones Act).

My Ford C-Max has a descend button on the shifter (shifter is on the dash instead of center console...more cupholders!!!). There is also L on the shifter for Tesla-like regen. It’s like an electric jake brake on a hill!!!

The Zoo is an interesting place. I-94 is usually the center of many episodes of ruckus that happens there. From flying Lazy Boys to tons of cars crashing in the snow.

That all depended on if your teacher assigns busy work. 60 problems a night with only 8 to 10 types of problems in high school would have been tedious torture. I did the 8-10...one of each type and aced the tests (at least in calculus).

Mine was a later build (Dec ‘94 I think). Not too many of these were lemons. I do feel bad about his luck because these are a go to old commuter car that can do mostly anything you ask it to as long as you can get creative about some things.

I don’t hate NJ per se. I hate its government, its corruption and its bureaucratic insanity. There are some nice spots (Pine Barrens are interesting) and some of the people are great. I’d live there over NY (who can afford that side of the Hudson anyway...).

I do understand. I disagree with David’s quote

I don’t understand. I had the same sort of manual Accord of that vintage with 246000 miles and it came from Chicago. All I had to do was fix the original brakes (rotors/calipers) at 230000.

My C-Max essentially acts like a Volt in the city. The ICE in warmer weather comes on for a short time to charge up the battery, then shuts off.

I can’t tell you how many times i probably would’ve died if i had to drive 55 for long road trips in rural areas. 55 vs 75 mph is not much in an urban area but over 700-1000 miles it can mean getting somewhere by sundown or running off the road from fatigue late at night (700 mi @55 is around 12.7 hrs while 700 mi @75

That is a very straight section of MN 61 and even more dangerous with those at-grade intersections! Why in the hell would you do a DUI checkpoint on a 4 lane like that? That’s suicide.

How the Hell can you go 171mph in Duluth? Too many curves!!! Hermantown city limits are also not on I-35 at all. US-2?

There’s always a catch.

The only time you should let a manual go (outside of financials and dead car) is:

Never trust twine from a wastebasket in Lansing, MI...NEVER!

My bike is 17 yrs old and takes 10 min. Should've got a newer bike.
