Well as far as I know the next gen consoles do. I've had to do it on my Xbox One and I just hold the power button down on the console for 5-10seconds and it'll fully turn off. My Wii U does the same thing since I've had to do it when it locked up on me.

On Xbox One touch the power button on the Console for 7-10 seconds. This should put the box in OFF not standby. Kinect will not work. Downloads and updates will not happen in this power cycle. This is completely off mode and requires a controller or touching of the power "button" again to turn the power cycle back

On the other hand, please do support Sony and developer by buying this game at the full cost. In fact, buy it twice or three time. Earning from the game sale may or may not improve the overall experience of this game, but it shows you care and we are doing something. Again, the game experience may or may not improve

good way to maximise sales. By not letting people try it for free.

They should just pull the game and relaunch at this point. This game's launch has been nothing short of a disaster.

Driveclub is racing away with the title "worst launch of an exclusive title this generation".

Wasn't it originally supposed to be out Day 1? Not even going to make Year 1.

Not too bad a review. I understand where you are coming from. This type of game is not for everyone. I am not in love with this game either, but to me, this is the first TRUE next gen game for the one. What do i mean by true next gen? Well, as far as i know, this is the first game that will only live on the xbox one

This game practically emits 'cult classic'. It's got a unique art-style and all the early reviews saying its okay, has fun gameplay but the humor's a bit off (that's mainstream-speak for "I don't get it"). Damn it, if it's got kickass soundtrack (kotaku doesn't seem to mention it) it'd be like reading off of a cult

Haha, aww. I was actually thinking about that a lot since I dusted off my xbox one for this review and to play Lords of the Fallen and...I'm not sure how to describe this quite yet, but something about the console feels very different now. A lot better. Microsoft has made some big improvements since the thing first

The humor appears to be hit or miss, especially when it comes to Player's behavior. I'm running a Review Roundup thread on the IG Forums, and I've seen Player's attitude listed as a hilarious pro in Game Informer's review and as a con in Rev3 Games and Video Gamer's reviews.

So I get a Crackdown meets Tony Hawk meets Dead Rising kinda feel about this game based on everything I see/read. Reviews have been pretty good too, so definitely am leaning more towards it now.

it's hard for me to give a "no" to something that feels fresh, inventive, and fun. I mean, look at it this way: I was mostly bugged by the tone and humor of the game. If I was just approaching this as a gamer and not a critic, I would've just muted the game after a few minutes and put my own music on instead, and had

I'll admit this was a very tortured process. But at the end of the day, our "rating" system comes down to...would you tell other people to play a game? To me, that sort of implies another question of: is this an interesting game that you'd like to talk about with your friends and fellow gamers? Sunset Overdrive

I am honestly amazed that this is a Yes. Kotaku has had a many a No which was more positive.

Eh... I kinda wish Kotaku would've designated somebody else to review this. The author clearly didn't like the game's narrative/humour and it almost comes off as a vendetta here. This review was beating the same dead horse apparently as much as Sunset Overdrive reminds us it's just a (***ing) video game.

Ditto,

Love the lack of mentioning anything about multiplayer.

The sense of humor is pretty stupid but... I kind of... Like the style? :/ the color palette seemed amazing!

It's the kind of game that has a quest arc that contains one passage where you befriend a member of the rock band The Melvins, and another where you must perform a handful of predictable fetch-quests to gain the trust of a group of Hispanic women who all wear skimpy schoolgirl outfits and Day of the Dead makeup. That
