I think some of this is true - I am aware that someone making a lot of money but their expenses are high might not be able to come up with $400 or miss a paycheck, but is it “financial ruin” exactly? Whataburger’s spicy ketchup is “objectively” the best ketchup, but I suppose that endorsement wouldn’t make sense since they don’t advertise it separately, and Mahomes plays for a non-Texas team.
