I read it and didn’t agree with it. Not every allegation is credible and treating every allegation with the same gravitas only diminishes the ones with merit.

So they wore blackface...and dressed up like Canadian lumberjacks?
Of course you can. We have brains for a reason. Not every allegation is credible.
Not sure how all that is relevant, but asking someone to leave the establishment is management ‘shit.’

“I’m so sorry to interrupt. We do need this table for another reservation.”
You’re going to send a man to the Browns just for kicking a lady? The ACLU needs to get involved for the 8th amendment violation of what is clearly cruel and unusual punishment.
In an exclusive interview with The Root’s Jason Johnson published earlier today, Fairfax responded by saying
Like I said, what’s important to me is that the kids get to school. If a kid is missing a month or more of classes, someone is failing the student. Whether you want to punish that someone or not isn’t as important as making sure they aren’t allowed to keep failing the kid. If the most effective method of ensuring that…
I just care that the kids get to school. I don’t give a damn how it’s done. So you pick whatever method works for your neighborhood, but if a kid misses 20% of the school year, they need to be removed from their grossly negligent parents who are screwing them for life.
1. A. 4. The parent/guardian has the right to meet with appropriate school personnel to discuss solutions to the student’s truancy
Your 1 job as a parent is to raise your kid right. If you can’t do the bare minimum, you should not be a parent. I don’t care if you lock up the shitty parents or not, I just care that the kids are taken away from them, so the kids have an opportunity to be better than their parents and not fall into the same useless…
Those check-ins, counseling and classes where all part of the truancy process. Only after all those were tried and exhausted were the parents prosecuted. Hence the 20 total prosecutions in a state with over 6 million school children.
CPS doesn’t prosecute parents. The DA does. All CPS does is refer parents to the DA who then make a determination whether or not prosecute. There’s no reason why parents can’t be referred to the DA via other mechanisms. Ultimately it’s the DA who decides who gets prosecuted.
“Virginia needs someone that can heal,” he told King. “There’s no better person to do that than a doctor.
Uhh, yeah? The parents are responsible for their children. That’s like job 1 of being a parent. The school system provides free counseling, training, and transportation, it’s up to the parents to use those resources and be responsible for their children. When the parents fail their obligations to their children, the…
I strongly believe that way too many people have children who have no business raising children. We give far too much leeway to bad parents and chock it up to not wanting to get involved or parental discretion. But parental discretion needs to end when the child is put at risk.
“Consensual sex and rape are related. Let’s abolish all consensual sex because it could to lead to rape.”
Fun fact, the US is STILL at war with North Korea. What was signed in 1953 was an armistice, not a peace treaty.
