I think you’re mythologizing something rather than seeing it for what it was. Turner’s rebellion had an incredibly chilling effect on the slave population throughout the country and it made conditions for slaves and free blacks even worse than before.

I think his real issue was a distinct lack of a plan other than kill all the white people, but I also tend to be very distrustful of anyone who claims god speaks to them directly.

In general, I agree with you, but I would kill anyone who tried to kill my dog without hesitation. My dog is worth more to me than any human being outside of my immediate family because my dog is part of my family.

I’ve seen enough firearm training videos to know you’re not supposed pull out a gun unless you intend to use it.

No one was shot. Just an adult driver thought the best way to deal with being annoyed by children to chase them with a gun which resulted in a random bystander’s death.
