Velma, one of the most universally loathed pieces of animation in recent memory, hated by both critics and audiences, is getting a season 2, while countless more deserving projects are either canceled or shelved. I’m convinced Zaslav and the execs at HBO actively hate their viewership.

“Lotta ants” was my favorite. He was probably the best part of the movie, just kinda ambling around, mumbling about ants.

I don’t think he’s talking about Timothee Chalamet. I think he means more YouTubers and TikTokers and other such “influencers” who are “famous” because they do a dance or model a piece of clothing.

So I don’t think the article mentions it, but as someone who does not own a Tesla...does the car completely shut off while the update is happening? Like, the AC and everything doesn’t function?

Ah but unions give a modicum of power to the underclass, and lets them have a voice, however small, against the oligarchy. Thus, every action must be devoted to crushing it.

“Bruce Wayne? Why are you dressed like Batman?” - Max Shrek

None of what you’re saying actually explains the fact that they are clearly laying groundwork for the lead up to TRoS. They didn’t HAVE to do that. Nothing yet has taken place post sequel trilogy, but this very article is about an official Rey post TRoS movie so, yknow, there’s that.

Lots of fun vampire film crossover here, from Nicholas Hoult (Renfield) to Willem Dafoe (who played Max Shrek, the actor who played Nosferatu but in the film actually is Nosferatu in Shadow of the Vampire).

I think she had a role in one of those right wing produced movies about Hunter Biden, as kind of a narrator/ambiguous spy lady, and it was universally reviled because her physicality really wasn’t involved in the role and it involved a lot of speaking.

I think John Wick 3 was the extent of what I could take. It had some good scenes, but overall I was about done.

A lot of people seemed to think the Inferno episode was rushed and packed too much in, but I think that would be this episode for me.

I notice they only showed her from the waist up in the quiet council scenes. I guess her outfit wouldn’t play very well in a quasi-kids animated series.

Bring in Caroline Calloway and I can’t think of a better place for a small meteor to strike.

I understand you were having a bit of fun. I’m just saying the prevailing winds on the Star Wars side of things is not to retcon it (obviously), but they aren’t even ignoring it, they’re leaning in to building up to it.

If I’m reading this correctly (and I’m not sure I am - I’ve never heard of this person so I’m kinda lost on this whole thing), Oyler’s whole reason for being known is that she writes negative reviews about other authors?

His supporters still manage to have the cognitive dissonance to accept that he is a free speech absolutist who allows free speech on his free speech site, but also that any time he does censorship “it’s his website! He bought it! He can do what he wants!”

There are studies that show that when you become the level of richness of say, a Kanye or a Musk, it actually has an effect on the brain.

The bastion of free speech, where the owner selectively censors whatever he wants (like the term “cis”) and literally alters tweets he does not like the speech of.

These characters are really only Joker and Harley in name only.

It’s basically a remake of King of Comedy and Taxi Driver using the Joker as a way to launder the plot elements into a “different” movie.
