I haven’t played the game, but everyone I’ve seen discussing it makes it seem like “Pokemon except you can torture them/use them for slave labor/eat them”. Which like...does not appeal to me? And it’s kinda scary that it seems to appeal to so many people.

The AI people all say if they had to pay to license the content it’s trained on, it would be impossible. In which case, I feel like that’s fine. I can’t do all kinds of things because they’d be illegal.

I actually watched The Beach Bum, and the only thing I can remember about it is Martin Lawrence’s foot getting severed by a shark.

I’d say this is likely 100% a cost saving measure. The cost of slicing machines must be less than the cost of pre-sliced meat. You buy the slicing machines once; the upcharge for sliced meats is a recurring charge.

I’ve always loved the look of this car, and it’s a bit more unique and rare than an SL or 996, but...I remember these things having a reputation for needing tons of upkeep when they were NEW. I’m genuinely scared of what would be involved in keeping a 20+ year old version up and running.

I for one am flabbergasted at the notion that Elon Musk would overpromise and underdeliver on something.

I’m actually glad I forgot most of these existed, thanks

Echoing the sentiment that it’s not “bizarre” for him to praise intimacy coordinators. He’s saying it’s a benefit for everyone and helps all the actors involved in the scene.

One hopes this isn’t like that time Chris Cornell decided to make songs with Timbaland.

Ah ok. I’m a sucker for the 22B wheels but if you’re gonna swap them, that makes sense.

But how is wokeness at fault??

Why would you replace the iconic 22B wheels with those??

I mean, in this case, would an opening or supporting act count toward the “start time”. In most cases where there’s an opening or support act, it’s understood that they have X amount of time to play, and then the headliner goes on after, but it isn’t considered “late” because the opening act’s time was accounted for.

I’ve been to quite a few concerts, and while they don’t start EXACTLY on time, I don’t think I’ve ever been to one that started 2+ hours late. That just seems insulting to fans. I don’t know why anyone would accept that as the standard.

Yeah, that was strange to me too. I know a lot of stuff was cut to trim down the total run time, but it ends up leaving some vital questions unanswered.

When Kingpin asked “What did you do?!” at the end of Echo, I found myself asking that same question. It’s bafflingly unclear what happens.

Despite seeing so many articles about it and encountering people who apparently watch it, I’ve managed so far to avoid knowing too much about why these people have a show, or what the show is about.

I wonder how tough it is to film Reacher, where the whole point is that this one guy is massive and everyone else is supposed to be tiny in comparison. Although Alan Ritchson isn’t super tall, for a Hollywood actor he’s a giant.

I wonder how much of the “too tall” prejudice is due to Hollywood’s preference for short guy leading actors.

My friend had a Porsche Cayenne with a keyfob that looked like a mini Porsche Cayenne. It even had working headlights that flashed when you pressed the lock/unlock button.
