I enjoyed the episode, but I do agree that Loki’s motivations seem pretty amorphous at this point.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Yeah, really seems to have rubbed a lot of folks in these comments the wrong way, who proclaim that South Park doesn’t do this “anymore”, while also saying they just “attack extremism on both sides equally” and “play the middle/are centrists”. I don’t see an actual difference there.
Again, this is just “both sides bad” and it’s reductive and cynical.
Yeah I think this is a pretty good analogy. Granted, I haven’t followed the full genesis of PC Principal, and aside from the episodes I’ve seen I’m mostly going by how people tend to bring him up in conversation or discussion. But it does seem like the ultimate message of PC Principal as Bazzd tells it may have been…
This is just another way of saying “both sides bad”.
Congrats on the dumbest reply so far!
She just took it one step too far. I’ve seen a ton of silver or brown or dark blue or black cars, usually Crown Vics, with light bars and some kind of vague wording with a badge on the side. They’re always some security company. The intent is to look as close to real cops as possible. This lady just did it too well.
I will admit, I haven’t watched enough of the more recent content to know the points you mentioned, but it’s interesting to see that they turned PC Principal into a voice of reason if that’s the case, because all I had seen was people parroting him as if he was some kind of parody to be mocked. It makes me wonder,…
There’s a “huge need” for celebrity AI chatbots, in the same way there was a “huge need” for the Metaverse. People like Zuck always glom on to the newest shiny thing, dumping a ton of money into it to try to make it seem essential without actual trying to define an actual use for it that anyone wants.
The best critique of South Park and one that’s come the closest to explaining why it rubs me the wrong way is that they always take the side of “not caring”. The end result is always that caring about anything is dumb and “both sides” are bad if either of them actually care.
I mean, instead of reading random comments you could go and see the countless examples of companies imploding because they chose to try to grow infinitely forever instead of finding a niche and being successful.
Good ole “line goes up” mentality. You can’t “stay small” in capitalism, you have to keep growing exponentially! Never plateau, just continue making money and growing forever and ever. This makes total sense and it’s not like you’re going to hit a plateau or run out of an audience, the world and its resources are…
I mean yeah, our system sucks, that’s why I sarcastically said “good system we got”. It’s beyond individual cops blowing off her concerns though...by all accounts her concerns were seen as totally valid, as the guy has been arrested and she’s been granted more than one protective order.
Why did it take 5 arrests and multiple protective orders before anyone was like “maybe this guy shouldn’t be allowed to fly planes at all”?
That’s the most confusing part...I think most of the Marvel shows’ failings is that they rely too much on CGI action and beat ‘em up finales...it seems like Daredevil WASN’T doin this, and they scrapped it.
The line between straight up grifters and people running the world is fast blurring so much as to be non existent. I think Elon is the prime example of someone with immense power who at this point is completely full of shit.
Initially when they said Momoa “dressed like Johnny Depp” I thought it meant like, full Jack Sparrow gear or something. Not just like, in that kinda shlubby way Depp dresses. I don’t know how you could ever measure that as intentional or not.
Ah that makes sense, thank you
What does “I’m dehydrated” mean in this context? I don’t feel like a lack of fluids is what she’s trying to convey, but the opposite.
