Except unfortunately what you get is some lifeless, soulless hackneyed crap.

Really enjoyed this, but if it didn’t get renewed it would really suck considering it’s basically all set up (like most first seasons these days).

The DoD can’t account for HUNDREDS of BILLIONS worth of assets. It failed 5 audits in a row. There is no oversight or accountability, and it accounts for 78% of our country’s TOTAL BUDGET. That’s “whatever” with you? Ok...

Maybe it’d be nice to know the NATURE of the comparison? Was the original person trying to compare them like “Oh Pink is as funny as Suzy Eddie Izzard!”? Or were they maybe comparing a 60 year old comedian to someone 20 year her junior in a negative light?

This is irrelevant to the issue of federal budgets.

I agree with some of your points, like incentivizing working from home. When I was working from home I was filling up my tank every 3-4 weeks instead of every 4 days.

“People just like cars” is a vast oversimplification. Yes, there is car culture, but that exists in many places. You can “like cars and want to be able to drive them” without needing to use a car any time you want to go anywhere other than a stroll within your own neighborhood.

The US basically has legal bribery in the form of lobbying so unless a coalition of people can get together to outbid the automakers, oil companies, and other businesses interested in keeping cars on the road, there’s a fat chance that We the People can do jack shit.

Is it just me or are slideshows getting worse? They take longer to click through (I used to be able to immediately click to the next slide, but now I have to click two or three more times while the whole page loads). And this slideshow doesn’t even say how many slides are in it.

Most people have to get on a highway to go to work. Cycling is technically legal in my state on the highway, but it’s absolutely terrifying. I’m not biking 25 miles to work every day, 20 miles of which is straight highway.

I hate how this discussion always seems to be framed as if American’s just really love gas guzzling ICE cars. Like yeah, some do. But then there are the rest of us that just have a massive daily commute and no other option to make the 25 miles to work and back. There’s no bus or train that goes to my job, and I can’t

Not at the scene. Imagine cops coming upon a mess of carnage full of injured cyclists after a massive truck plowed into them while trying to blow toxic fumes in their face, and just...letting him go.

Nothing really major went sideways on the car, it was just replacing things like belts, bearings, brakes, etc. that wear down over time.

This was, in fact, not the case.

There are things that just need to be maintained because of wear and tear.

Pretty sure he admitted he had something to do with it, he claims he was contracted to kill Shakur by Sean P. Diddy Combs. He admits his complicity by being in the car with the shooter.

A guy who has repeatedly admitted his involvement on several different platforms? It’s always the guy you least suspsect. Let’s all applaud the Vegas PD and their swift attention to resolving this case and making an arrest a mere 27 years after the crime. 2pac was alive for less time than has passed since his murder.

When she finally divorces him will all those right wing chuds shut the fuck up about how she’s the “hottest first lady” or whatever? They constantly bring her up, as if she’s a doting wife and not someone who refuses to even be in the same room with her “husband”.

A lot of the commute was on busy streets, but not necessarily city streets, more suburban area, so while there were usually bike lanes, they weren’t super well delineated and sometimes not at all, so maybe people just hate sharing the road.

Ultimately I did enjoy it. I bought one new, it was my first brand new car, a 2007 blue pearl Civic Si, and it was my baby. I drove it for nearly ten years and eventually just couldn’t keep up with the repairs. Nothing major, but eventually when you’re at like 150k miles stuff just starts going wrong and never really
