Most people have to get on a highway to go to work. Cycling is technically legal in my state on the highway, but it’s absolutely terrifying. I’m not biking 25 miles to work every day, 20 miles of which is straight highway.

A friend of mine who was my coworker used to bike to work. Luckily we had showers. But he said nearly every day someone either threw something at him from a vehicle, or would try to swerve to scare or “bump” (aka kill) him.
