That’s very specific, and I’ve never seen it used as the reason. I’ve just seen people say they’re against any age gaps above like 10 years between a younger woman and older man, no matter how old the individuals are.

It’s great if we want to celebrate Cher dating someone 40 years her junior who is himself nearly 40 years old. But why don’t we extend that when the genders are switched?

Everything I’ve ready about her makes it seem as though she is absolutely desperate to cling on to the small amount of fame she was able to eke out by being in one notable movie and dating Kanye. She just seems desperate to stay in the headlines.

Anyone whose “job” title is “life coach and influencer” is not someone I ever want to hear from. About anything. Least of all their feelings on anyone’s relationship.

All the reviews I can find of it are reasonably positive. Even the “bad” reviews don’t say it’s anywhere near terrible. Even Pitchfork gave it 7/10 and they hate everything.

Do these not already exist? You’ve got A24 and other similar studios putting out mid-budget arty fare that does reasonably well.

It’s original in that it isn’t tied to an existing IP, but at least from the trailers, the plot is far from original. “Jaded hero finds his humanity again by escorting special child through many dangers” is a tried and true trope, with several examples from just this past year. 

That’s my problem with this movie (at least from what I’ve seen). Nothing makes it seem to stand out from your usual bleak future humans vs. robots fare.
