That’s very specific, and I’ve never seen it used as the reason. I’ve just seen people say they’re against any age gaps above like 10 years between a younger woman and older man, no matter how old the individuals are.

It’s great if we want to celebrate Cher dating someone 40 years her junior who is himself nearly 40 years old. But why don’t we extend that when the genders are switched?
I think his take on Dumbledore is always going to be divisive, though he did better in the later films than the earlier ones.
It didn’t stop them from continuing to rally behind Reagan as he slipped more into Alzheimer’s during his presidency.
I really think Paulina Alexis should get the Emmy for this. This season really let her come into her own and she really sells Willie Jack’s tough-yet-vulnerable, unbothered-yet-exposed demeanor so well. She’s given two excellent monologues this season and nailed them both. The closest I’ve ever been to tears on this…
Everything I’ve ready about her makes it seem as though she is absolutely desperate to cling on to the small amount of fame she was able to eke out by being in one notable movie and dating Kanye. She just seems desperate to stay in the headlines.
Anyone whose “job” title is “life coach and influencer” is not someone I ever want to hear from. About anything. Least of all their feelings on anyone’s relationship.
All the reviews I can find of it are reasonably positive. Even the “bad” reviews don’t say it’s anywhere near terrible. Even Pitchfork gave it 7/10 and they hate everything.
Would anyone at Paramount who was with the studio in 1968 have ties to “Epstein Island”? What the hell is even the point here
I wish there was more commentary on the Bruce Springsteen album, it basically just says “should be good, but producer bad!” Like why. What happened.
Do these not already exist? You’ve got A24 and other similar studios putting out mid-budget arty fare that does reasonably well.
It’s original in that it isn’t tied to an existing IP, but at least from the trailers, the plot is far from original. “Jaded hero finds his humanity again by escorting special child through many dangers” is a tried and true trope, with several examples from just this past year.
That’s my problem with this movie (at least from what I’ve seen). Nothing makes it seem to stand out from your usual bleak future humans vs. robots fare.
I’m thinking of four letters, arranged in a specific order.
Wow dude super epic.
He’s not wrong...I just don’t know what we can expect anyone to do about it. Auteur films (Captital C Cinema) still get made, but I don’t know that they’ll ever reach the level of recognition to compete with franchise blockbusters when studio execs see everything in terms of dollar signs.
I feel bad for DJ Shadow. An incredible producer, but I can’t think of anyone else whose amazing debut has been as much of an Albatross as Endtroducing has been for Shadow. Private Press was great, but ever since then, it seems his goal has been to get as far away from anything resembling Endtroducing as possible. The…
My family made many trips up I-95 from FL to PA in the summers and winters of my youth. We stopped there exactly once. It was a trip where it was just my dad, my brother and I, and I suspect if my mom had accompanied us (I forget why she didn’t) we never would have stopped. It was bleak, even then (must have been over…
This is your problem right here. Every rest stop is gonna be a nightmare on busy holiday travel weekends. I remember driving down from college on Thanksgiving and passing the state-run Florida Turnpike rest stops, they looked like a Where’s Waldo picture there was so much chaos.
Oh god a person on the internet called me unintelligent.
